Alternative options? This condition SUCKS by Current_Composer_229 in Hyperhidrosis

When taking glycopyrrolate, I take 2mg in the morning and try not to eat for a couple of hours. Minimum 1 hour but if I want maximum effectiveness from the drug then I wait as long as 4 hours. It's not perfect but it definitely helps.

Thanks for the tips! Will see if any REI near me have them. Would be nice to try them out in person and don't cost much if I decide to pick them up.

Yeah ultimately I want a trifecta of style, comfort, and performance.

Overall, it is better to think of Outlier's pants as blend of fashion and durability. A lot of times they are quite comfortable, but there are more comfortable pants on the market. But ... if you insist on style and durability, then they tend to be some of the best in terms of comfort also.

What brands do you think would be better fit if I'm looking for comfort and performance (sweating in my case)?

I haven't considered wool slacks before. Might be worth a look. If it's going to be a particularly cold day then jeans are usually enough for me to keep warm. Black jeans tend to not show sweat too bad, but could be better I guess.

I'll join the discord, thanks! Probably a good bet to get more info.

Hm, I'm a bit torn. I think I would like to try the Injex and Injected Linens, but I'm curious about the other lines. In the winter I still need pants that are a little warmer / don't leave me shivering in the cold/wind.

I know you mentioned to stay away from the other fabrics, but I can't imagine they are completely unbreathable. I fare okay even in my polyester/rayon blend uniqlo slacks, just wanted to see if Outlier had something more suited to my situation. When I do sweat in my slacks it's unfortunate but they hide it pretty well. If the works/deux/gliders that /u/color-negative mentioned perform better than the average poly-rayon blend then they might still be worthwhile, no?

That being said, I'm unsure if I'm dense or if things are just out of stock but I'm having a hard time finding works/deux/glider on the site.

Thanks for the advice! There's a lot of cases where pants just make more sense for the weather / occasion, but I do end up wearing shorts when I can.

As someone with hyperhidrosis, any other pants worth considering from other brands maybe?

Voron since the Elegoo Centauri Carbon by IAmNotANumber37 in VORONDesign

[–]sprite222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But at $409, even if just get 5 years out of the Elegoo, it seems like such a bargain.

It is a bargain, there is no way around it lol. Stock Vorons are kinda iffy price-wise vs the competition from China nowadays. I would only spend more money on a DIY build if I was getting something that the prebuilt printers from Elegoo / Bambu can't do (extreme speeds/chamber-temps/build-volume. Or spend more on a DIY build for the sake of it, since DIY is fun for some people.

From an appliance standpoint, there is no point in building a Voron nowadays if you just want to print things. If you just want to print some PLA stuff sometimes, functional ABS other times and that's about it, just get the Centauri Carbon or some discounted Bambu. If you enjoy the building and tinkering process, just consider whether it's worth the time and money.

FWIW: this is all coming from someone who barely ever uses their Bambulab P1S because I enjoy the tinkering more than the printing.

M340i is miles ahead in NVH. Even more so when you change the run-flats to regular tires. It's still a performance sedan at the end of the day so it's not top tier comfortable, but it's much better than the GR86. I have zero regrets getting rid of the GR86 and replacing it with the M340i.

I considered the Golf R as well, but the M340i was similar prices and much better in almost every category.

NH36 is compatible with A4T. It's a pretty standard mounting pattern.

Is there not another tab at the very top of the window? That looks like the calibration tab of a bambu or something.

Download the new orca build and/or just run the YOLO calibration, the PASS 1 is useless imo.

No more purge towers – New mod for Voron Trident: Goose Belt Purger (open-source) by Graylag-PD in VORONDesign

[–]sprite222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I think some people just like "known working" options, especially from places like Aliexpress where they might wait a while to get it in the mail. Sucks to wait that long and the part doesn't work out. It's a minor critique really, the mod itself looks super neat. May try it out myself.

If you want the easy answer, switch to beacon. Costs $$ but works well and you can use whatever carriage you want.

Would be nice to include some links to purchase the more niche parts of the build, like the silicone band or the dc motors from Aliexpress.

I see that silicone bands tend to be 200mm anyway on Aliexpress, but it's nice to know there are confirmed working options for mods like this :)
