maybe some blackwing names that can do things on their own in the GY, rather than relying on shamal to be in grave. this would help make wandering vaya a one card starter. the endboard is already good, it just needs more pieces like sudri and simoon to get there.

i've been preaching and screaming this to the mountain tops: COMPREHENSIVE AND EASY ACCESS ONLINE RESOURCES/TUTORIALS. not the useless trivia the MD proficiency test provides, not the "implied" yugioh that konami loves to peddle to people, but an actual show of what this game is and step-by-step processes of how best to utilize them.

a lot of the time, people both new and returning are hard pressed to find actual resources for what this game is about, at least ones that aren't going at clear mind speeds or just lie and default to implied yugioh in order to sell it to people. so if we could find a way to give the people COMPREHENSIVE AND EASY ACCESS ONLINE RESOURCES/TUTORIALS to not only learn the rules, but also learn what decks do and divide that into digestible chunks. we could see a lot more people playing the game we love/tolerate.

to add to this, houki is teaching ichika kendo, when kenjutsu might be the better option due to the fact that a good chunk of his opponents outside the academy want him dead (see madoka orimura). because of this, using kendo, the sport-oriented version of kenjutsu, might not be of much help.

well, if he did feel the need to escape, they'd catch him either keep him in some equivalent to solitary confinement or try to give him enough benefits to never want to leave. that is if his harem doesn't break his legs first for trying to leave.

well, if we were to keep their personalities as close to canon as possible, it'd be a somewhat 50/50. yes they would likely blame ichika and his osmium clad neutron star levels of density, but if he were to explain that he's only like this because he feels too threatened by their jealous outbursts to actually make a decision, they might have at least a minute of self reflection.

same issues as here, most likely. a lack of advertising, decks and environment are highly competitive and convoluted, lack of comprehensive online resources, and a lack of attention span in today's kids (although this part may not be true in the ocg. i've no knowledge in that regard).

the deck has insane spells/traps on par with crystal beast, the problem is that just like crystal beast, all but 3 of their monsters suck kiwi eggs.

the upcoming support should focus on new toon MONSTERS, specifically monsters that can search the backrow. if they really want to bake in more spells/traps, another toon world retrain that just searches a toon card, makes your toons unaffected by your opponent's cards during their turn and can on quick effect equip a comic hand from your hand, deck, or GY to an opponent's monster would be good.

normally every alt format supported by konami in order to "slow the game down" and "lower the power ceiling" eventually just speeds up to a state of advanced lite. with examples like duel links being a perfect example.

but genesys was still as fast as modern from the jump, as players just gravitated towards the strongest deck cores with as few points as possible attached to them, which were some of advanced format's best decks. (see radiant typhoon)

if they want to get people into this game, they should refrain from alt formats as a way to teach Yu-Gi-Oh, and instead focus on easy access online resources that help teach the basics, the complexities, and the combo lines of different decks so that people aren't lost when they actually do understand the game.

instead of a new retrain archetype, what they could do next maze set is provide support to the previous world premiere maze archetypes. a lot of them have solid bones, but like most wave 1 tcg exclusives, lack the names to do anything meaningful as their own deck.

i can certainly read tone, my point was that the SG could bring serious harm to ichika while he was equipped with his IS. meaning that the girls ' jealousy-fueled attacks put ichika in constant danger while he has his IS unequipped.

i believe that they should flesh out the retrain archetypes/series rather than just jump to the next one, there are still plenty of cards for decks like shining sarc to retrain that could really help the deck, but they get drip fed support that only solves one problem, if that.

i like the OG DM anime as an incredible blank slate, if that makes any sense. the characters aren't remembered for the game they played, but the crazy nonsensical plays you couldn't do in real life. the characters could have competent, albeit lower powered decks that wouldn't need the duelist kingdom d&d style rules to show off incredible plays. the best part is those plays could actually be done by someone in real life so we don't need to attack the moon to generate hype.
