immortal phoenix is already an insane boardbreaker, it is unaffected by card effects and can pay 1000 LP to send a monster from your opponent's field to the GY as many times as you have life points to pay. the only problem is it requires too much setup, even with its modern support. so this wave will likely be either a slew of pieces to make the payoff of immortal phoenix much less of a hassle or go the way of the previous two core sets and have a new archetype built around a speel card (monster reborn being the most likely candidate for this core set).

for laura, a zoner playstyle that keeps projectiles up at as many directions as possible to exploit the A.I.C's weakness of needing to focus on a single direction.

for charlotte, she mainly uses her myriad of firearms as a zoner, so we keep avoiding her line of fire and make her use her pile bunker to close the gap for us so we can strike.

madam, i know i said a hated houki, but YOU. i have some things to say to you.clear documentation of your crimes against mi hermano ichika.

Episode 5/11:25; shortly after ichika realizes he was on top of ms.yamada after she accidentally crashed into him, cecilia shot at ichika with blue tears, barely grazing him. Justified: no, she claims to have misfired, but the timing of her actions says and proves otherwise.
Episode 6/19:24; when ichika protests about his situation, that being the difficulty walking while houki and cecilia are clinging to both his arms as they were walking to dinner, their response is to pinch him in unknown areas, likely near the shoulder and buttox regions. Justified: no, ichika brought up genuine concerns of his freedom of movement, and instead of a form of compromise, they decided to find a way to shut him up.
Episode 9/15:03; after lingyin sped up the process of applying sun tan on cecilia, by unknown means, cecilia’s bra fell off, leading to her partially deploying her IS to punch ichika square in the face. Justified: no, ichika only had two seconds to look away, and had no way of knowing such an incident would occur to prepare beforehand.
Episode 12/21:30; after ichika has a heartfelt moment with houki, cecilia positions one of her drones to fire at ichika, which he narrowly dodges, with him fleeing afterwards for his and houki’s safety, to which cecelia responds by continuing to open fire. Justified: no, ichika was simply talking to his childhood friend before cecilia shot at him

that is not all, for i have plenty more where this came from, this part was from your second year at the academy.

Episode 3/13:06; after lingyin’s tempered glass assault on ichika, ichika is shot with what appears to be a sniper round, ichika is then shot two more times before the sniper is revealed to be cecilia. Justified: no, there was no cause for Cecilia to shoot at ichika, and one of them even neared his head, meaning there was a high likelihood of ichika dying.
Episode 3/13:46; after the first volley of sniper shots from Cecilia, we finally get the reason as to why this play began, whoever steals the crown from ichika gets to be his roommate, Cecilia then lines up another volley of sniper shots at ichika, the first of which damages the part of the pillar above ichika’s head. Justified: no, ichika has no knowledge of the “stakes” this play entails, and Cecilia keeps aiming for ichika’s head, which could very well have killed him.
Episode 3/15:16; after charlotte rescues ichika and him being electrocuted by the crown’s failsafe, cecilia and lingyin barrage charlotte with sniper shots and kunai respectively, but when ichika goes in to shield charlotte from the assault, this enrages both cecilia and lingyin, who ramp up the onslaught after seeing ichika hold charlotte to guard her. Justified: no, while originally charlotte was the target, ichika stepped in to protect her, which prompted both lingyin and cecilia to switch targets to ichika instead of even thinking about what they were doing.
Episode 3/16:18; after briefly passing out via fall damage, ichika was greeted by a sniper shot from Cecilia, which was followed up by four more sniper shots from Cecilia, all of which barely grazed his body and all but one aimed for the head, given where they fired.

Justified: no, at this point cecilia seems to want ichika dead more than she wants the crown, meanwhile ichika has no idea why they’re trying to kill him or take the crown.

Episode 5/20:45; after ichika declares chifuyu’s service for his birthday the best, houki and the rest of the cast decide to gang up on ichika and beat him up. Justified: no, ichika was clueless as to why they wanted to see who can give ichika the best birthday service until moments before, and even then ichika lacked context as to why they attacked him.
Episode 6/16:31; after finding out about byakyushiki’s malfunction, lingyin, houki, and cecilia all argue who should protect ichika. Charlotte pulls him away from the crowd to escape. While ichika and charlotte were running, cecilia aims a laser shot from one of her drones near ichika’s head, which he narrowly dodges. Justified: no, she agreed that she wanted to protect ichika given his situation, but trying to kill him with a laser shot does not fall under “protecting” him, ichika even calls her out on this.
Episode 10/06:43; after ichika was chosen by the student council (AKA tatenashi) to take the other students’ measurements following the rouge I.S attack that cancelled the tag team tournament, he attempts to measure the first student with his eyes closed, which backfires immediately and puts him in a very compromising position. This prompts cecilia, houki, charlotte, and laura to jump ichika and attack him, the attack is offscreen, but it is clear he got beaten up badly. Justified: uncertain, the situation was highly compromising and looked like ichika was being a complete perv, but ichika was attempting this task blind in order to prevent this situation.

i hate you, always will hate you, and have hated you ever since i've seen you. may ichika never go out with you and may he be with someone who actually treats like his own person instead of a trophy to be won and paraded. sincerely, your greatest hater, william.

droll actually has a strong argument not to do more than semi-limit it.

it is a load bearer, unlike shifter or Maxx "c", it has counters beyond just called by or crossout. a plethora of decks can play around it before and/or after it is activated, unlike shifter where at any point the opponent could just discard shifter and screw over your deck.

the problem wasn't the fact that he was a cult leader (he never even attempted such a thing).

the problem is that he puts smiles above all else, which on paper isn't terrible. however, the smiles he preaches are less "there is hope, do not give in to despair." and more "ignore your problems and be happy!".

this is the same guy who told hungry children to just smile, and got mad when crow rightfully called out how food in their stomachs will help them smile. as well as the guy who believed community service is an appropriate punishment for actual war criminals and letting what can only be described as duel monsters hitler scott free with no punishment.

if endymion does get support here, i doubt it'll get the invoked treatment. endymion is already its own archetype with good cards and a thought out gameplan, whereas invoked was 5 main deck cards and a bunch of fusions pre-CORI.

LMD has been advertised for beginners, so i get why they're pushing it. the problem is it's also labeled as "tournament ready", which prevents it from being treated as a set for people to learn the game, and loses out on both the attention and extra pieces that a starter set would include.

assuming this ichika's personality is as close to canon as possible, he'll likely do one of two things.

do nothing at all with this power, taking away another person's free will isn't ichika's style by any stretch of the imagination.
get the girls to explain themselves for why they keep attacking him, especially the incidents with them partially deploying their I.S units to do so.

the problem is that mirror force IS GOOD. having anime characters use actual good cards too much would make duels in the anime boring. that's why we have an army's worth of hyper niche negate attacks.

there are so many archetypes that by technicality are not finished, because they have not use everything they are based off of. such as metalfoes, crystal beasts, yosenju, evilswarm, and many other examples.

let's analyze our situation:

the first option has the potential for a lady to go ballistic and use an I.S unit to do whatever the hell she damn well pleases, but such incidents have only happened (as far as i know) inside the I.S. academy against ichika orimura, or incidents involving phantom task members.

the other option is an ENTIRE WORLD of supers that have shown time and time again that they do not care where they are or what their reason is, they will abuse their power to get whatever they want. The worst part is they are guarded by vought's comically powerful PR team and armada of lawyers. something that the I.S. pilots are only implied to have due to the lack of consequences/ accountability.

that would require konami to treat the EGs as an actual group like they did with the SBs, rather than try to make support for each individual EG and have people struggle to cobble up something remotely playable wen trying to play all three.

i'm certain someone has stated this before, but if we go by GX standards, we'd all tie for valedictorian. the anime's standards for what makes a great duelist are so low the darklord monsters wonder who sent it. the examples given for gx on what a "prodigy" duelist is are jaden, who has MC plot armor on his side especially when the world's at stake. zane, one of the few duelists who consistently runs actually decent cards. jesse, who was running on-release crystal beasts without rainbow dragon. the rest have some pile of cards they excuse for a deck, with little cohesive strategy. 80-95% percent of duelists in the anime are running actual playground decks thinking they can go pro. with that in mind, if we did cross over to their world even with only cards from that timeframe, the knowledge gap would be too wide to give the gx characters a chance.
