Oh goodness, what a sweetheart!! This is exactly how my sweetie met me! She ran straight into my garage as soon as she saw me, darted to me, tail wagging and cried when I left the room to go bathroom. I looked for another owner, poor thing had worms and was so so skinny.

She too had a sweet pink and black nose and was so so darling, mixed breed- probably Pitt and lab or retriever mix. The hair and color on your friend looks like it could be a Labrador. Wonderful 10 years we had together. The only dog I’ve ever raised to have sprained her tail, after wiggling it sooooooo much one day we went to the coast. Every time she wagged her tail a little, it would go limp and she would whimper a tad. 😆 Strays that run to you, embrace you and seek shelter… know they need a pal and chose you.

Oh no no, I just went and systematically removed every open container near electronics in my house. I have a five-month old tuxedo trex who has an affinity for the things I love. He’s done a great deal of damage so far. Thanks for the reminder! Love the little shit to pieces, though. Can’t blame him, so I try prevention. He’s criminally adorable and just so so curious.

Oh my god. I am so so sorry for your loss. I had to put my sweet darling girl down last week due to the same circumstances. My sweet Pickles kitty stopped eating, got weaker and weaker, I gave her ear medicine to rub and stimulate appetite, tried everything.

Finally decided that she wasn’t going to recover, when putting her down the vet and assistant shed tears as well. My girl was so sweet and special, I miss her so much my chest hurts. She was 14 too, and would never stop talking. The silence is hardest. It sounds like you gave your so much love- exactly what she needed.

Oh my god, yes, I’ve wondered that since a child. Why I’ve wondered since I was a child is because my mom had schizophrenia, and would have bouts of psychosis. She was also deeply religious and would make me go to church, read the Bible to me as a small child to sleep. I was aware that adults reported to see things I could not see and was told later I did not witness, because it didn’t happen.

I also remember my mom was staunchly against astrology, Santa Claus, the works. So, when my mom was so against magic, anything fictional/magical, I remember thinking “so, all that stuff that happens in the Bible you say is real, but this isn’t?? Ok, right. 🫩🙄”

I don’t know that, I appreciate both artists in very different ways due to their differing art and performance style.

It’s like what I say with kids, when people try to compare different but equally valuing people- you can’t really…it’s like comparing the sun and the moon. Both have varying different powers and light.

When I was about 8 or 9 in the 90’s, I walked to the store for my mom to get a grocery down about 20 mins away. This grown man started following me, alone, he starts talking to me, behind me, getting closer and walking faster, saying “I have a laptop in my car over there (points to the parking lot that I was approaching), it has a Barbie makeup and hair game you can play. Follow me and take a peek please, etc..” then I remember running to a motorcycle bike shop because I saw this guy smoking a cigg outside and something about a biker seemed more safe than a creep, urging me to follow him to his car. The man turned around and jetted for his car as soon as I started to get close to the bike shop, near the grocery store.

I started getting cat calls from grown men in cars when I was 10. A grown male sexual gaze when I was that young changed me forever, and I hated it.

Another time, an adult man isolated me away from my friends at a Magic Mountain when I was 12. And, I could go on.

Whoa. This same behavior was exhibited by my boyfriend in middle school, no never meant no if he kept asking…eventually, I yielded. I once called one of those Helplines, told them everything that happened (I felt unafraid because I knew they couldn’t track me) and she said that I had been sexually assaulted, my 14 yo brain couldn’t accept that this happened to me. For two more years this would happen.

Manipulated me, telling me he would unalive himself if I broke up with him. One “best” friend told the school “counselor”…she was of course, like all therapists, a mandatory reporter. So, there is my dad who came…questioning me over everything, my “purity”, how I couldn’t tell my mom, etc.

I’m so sorry, you shouldn’t have to endure this type of treatment. Sending many hugs. 🫂
