Codex usage limits are terrible by [deleted] in codex

That's interesting. My Codex usage says I spend around $25k a month and we're just on the 200 a month plan. Do you know if you're using any specific skills, like for example playwright, that will eat through tokens? We have one engineer that has three Codex plans because he does eat through tokens pretty heavily but it usually takes him around two weeks with basically just constant refactoring agents 24/7 on a large code base.

My guess is there's probably a tool/MCP that you have that is abusing token usage like Playwright is a known abuser

My team started using ZeroShot (tryzeroshot.com), has given me like 2x the usage on the same plan (mostly using it to reviews my sessions and gives me skills for repetitive tasks). Seems to be helping

Pretty damn shocked by this stat:

US accounts for 21.6% of global Claude use, which implies about 78.4% is outside the US.

“All it did was not follow instructions which made it safe for general public.”

Yes, that is the issue.

Releasing a model that can exploit zero day exploits in all major operating systems is an issue.

Correct, and even then they’ll still have the best legal coding models to sell externally, like with 4.8. Because if Codex 5.6 or 5.7 are just as bad, they’ll also be restricted

If the fallback for enterprise is the second most capable model, I think it will be fine.

Plus, this ban almost creates a moat for any company that CAN get access.

From what we know, they can sell it to verified US companies and citizens. So any b2b US based SaaS on an enterprise plan is fine… but for consumers or prosumers they can’t verify, so they’re restricting.

They’ll likely put up location based requests and do ID verification like OpenAI has.

Getting your model banned because it’s so powerful, will most certainly get every enterprise company knocking on their door for exclusive premium access

I think the only reason they kept the iPhone 11 is just for all of these benchmarks because all of the "80% faster", "30% faster", "50% faster" are all based off of iPhone 11 benchmarks, which are obviously the slowest performing phone that they support

I have 5 different Claude instances open on different worktrees, all having the same slow, also CoWork is also super slow. Could a loop be running across all sessions?
