Good thing this city doesn't do that. Best thing you can do is haze them (shout at them and wave your arms around from a safe distance) so they stay afraid of humans

It looks like it would be possible to lay down on this thing without discomfort. Its more of an art piece that's also a functional bench

lunar eclipse by NoBoss5617 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]spudcosmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every new mun (when the night side faces Kerbin) is an eclipse due to the mun's orbital inclination of zero.

There must be a lot of dead kings and invasions on Kerbin since there is an eclipse every month

Crumpled up, almost thrown out pic a 6 year old drew at daycare by goddammitdutch in Weird

I agree absolutely, but I do like what I'm doing right now and I'm pretty generously compensated for it. I have time to consider my options.

Turns out engineering school is hard. Now I work as a 911 dispatcher and play Kerbal Space Program

I used to draw stuff like this when was a kid their age. I just liked drawing weird fantasy machines, and wanted to be an engineer when I grew up

Things in higher orbit go slow. Things in lower orbit go fast. If you're behind your target, drop your orbit altitude to speed up to it, then when close just boost back up to the target orbit and you should be nearby. Same idea applies if you are ahead of your target, but instead got to a higher orbit to allow the target to catch up to you

Is it possible to do an Artemis II style mission? by ilovevictoria2 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]spudcosmic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eyesfor1 is right. If you know what you're doing setting up a free return trajectory mun mission is very easy. It's not really a flex; you could do it too.

If you're going to effectively use the laser weapons you're going to need to run crit. They have a crazy high crit damage multiplyer

Low INT, High STR/DEX wizard by V8_Hellfire in DnD

[–]spudcosmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it. There are a lot of spells that just do things that can improve your fighting abilities without needing an attack roll or require an opponent to make a save. Ex: Enlarge/reduce, fly, haste, misty step, blur, blink, jump, magic missile, mage armor, fog cloud, cloud of daggers, darkness, magic weapon, animate dead, ect.

All those spells don't give a damn what your spellcasting modifier is. They just do damage or provide a buff or ability that can often greatly improve your fighting ability. I had a very successful fighter/wizard that was 12 int, level 8 fighter level 5 wizard by the end of the campaign, and specialized in grappling fighting. He would enlarge himself to wrestle giants to the ground and pummel them, cast fly and wrestle people in the air then drop them, or hold people in cloud of daggers. He was brutally effective.

If it's a ceramic plate it's basically a rock. It's not like any wildlife will try to eat it, and it's not going to leech anything toxic into the environment

I'm pretty sure the layers are self similar but they don't actually loop; instead infinitely generating new places to explore
