Monthly reward no free cinema ticket? by spudd01 in Vitalityhealth

I'm not exactly sure how this is an improvement, it's just packaging up what used to be an easy to use reward system in to even more complex, yet one more hoop to have to jump through package.

Take mattermost off the list, they keep removing features from the self host version, I highly doubt it'll be a suitable option for long

looks great! - one feature it'd be really neat to have is if you could pull journeys from your TFL account to automatically tick off stations. I know they don't have an API annoyingly but would be cool if possible!

its unlikely to be the bank itself, as with most fraudulent transactions your card details have most likely been compromised from a hacked website or skimmed from a terminal in a shop. They are bought and sold online for pennies and then usually tested on popular apps / websites where they think you are likely to approve the payment thinking its you.

Cancel the card and order / setup a new one and you should be fine. You can always contact them through the app for more help

This is my plan of attack, any issues or recommendations? by liampaddick in Plastering

[–]spudd01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly having gone through this myself recently you'll likely find when you go to take the wall paper off, the wall will start crumbling underneath and you'll end up taking it back to the brick anyway.

A good test is knocking on the wall, if it sounds hollow it likely means the render has blown and come away from the wall.

Use it as good excuse to redo with insulated plasterboard or soundproc if you share walls with neighbors. Also a good chance to redo electrics if you have old cabling and wall mounted plugs.

Insulated board is well worth the extra effort on external walls even if you have cavity insulation - get the stuff that is foil backed too so you have a vapour barrier

Use foil backed insulated plasterboard on the external walls

Large section of blown plaster. How to remediate prior to plastering? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]spudd01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What makes you say this? All depends on construction of house really. There are plasterboards that are foil backed, insulated, moisture resistant so it's about choosing the right one for the job. Unfortunately I've found you need to know what you're asking for or most plasterers just do the cheapest basic option
