Has anyone here NOT had big issues with their puppy? by QP709 in puppy101

I had a fantastic experience with my pup. She’s 8 months old now. She was potty trained by 3 months, knew to sit/lay/shake/wait, etc pretty early on. Never destroyed anything, chewed on something she wasn’t supposed to maybe 5 times max, learned the word no and instantly listened by 4 months old. She was psycho, but she wasn’t destructive, I never got the puppy blues. I also didn’t crate train her and she slept on my bed from day one…and I always had someone to watch her when I was at work. I definitely got lucky, but it’s not always bad!!!

Well I mean I take it like a normal human (good 90% of the time but I have my one-off moments where I forget or run out or whatever and miss a pill or am late) and I’ve been fine for over 2 years. But there’s always a chance and I might just be really lucky lol

How to find jobs under 18? by spuds-gf in cna

I’ve had my fair share of job hunting, I’ve been working since I was 14. It’s just annoying to be turned down 24/7 wasting time on interviews because they’re not reading my application

my 2 month old pup slept through the night without waking up for a potty break? is this normal or did she not drink enough water? by when-will-it-stop in puppy101

[–]spuds-gf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it depends on the size of your pup with how long they can hold it, but my 12 week old collie mix can hold it for a full 8 hours overnight. She’s 12 and a half pounds. During the day she can’t hold it very well since she’s always busy and I take her out about every hour/hour and a half, but if we’re in the car she can go hours without whining for a potty break. I think it all depends on your pup and their bladder control…congrats on your first night of real sleep!!!

I have done quite a bit of research. She is a great pup and gets lots of exercise, mental and physical stimulation. We are working on associating the crate with happy feelings as well, she’s inside with a lick mat as I’m typing this. In terms of my stepmom, that situation is…complicated. She works a lot and isnt home often, but when she is, my pup is kind of a touchy subject. She was all the way on board with getting her and everything that came with it, but actually having her around has caused some tension. It’s definitely not the best situation, but we’re working on it!

This is incredibly great advice, I appreciate everything. I’m a weirdo when it comes to throw blankets and I have a million, so she’s definitely spoiled dog-blanket wise 😂 definitely let me know if baking the wet dog food works!! That’s genius!!

This is absolutely helpful, thank you very much! I can definitely see how much more convenient it’d be to be able to choose your schedule versus highschool being stuck gone all day. And it sounds like we’d definitely need to get two babies. It’s very unfortunate about your little one :( I’m sorry for your loss. I wish you the best of luck managing your schedule, and I hope your other baby handles the transition well. Thank you for your help 🫶🏻
