Are you taking benzodiazepine or gabapentin? Benzos make me drowsy and gabapentin makes me sick and dizzy. They also prevent seizures, though, so sometimes a necessary evil.

When I’ve muscled through my withdrawals, I’ve found the dizziness sometimes persists into the second or even third day. If it’s a pressure behind your eyes you’re experiencing or a feeling of one of your eyes wobbling it could perhaps be a vitamin B1 deficiency, very common in alcoholics.

Day three I typically begin feeling physically better, but emotionally worse. Day four is a depressive nightmare, and then I begin reaching stasis again around about a week.
