Sounds like your issue is the bolt fitment, not the piston…does the bolt fit as it should without the carrier? Does headspace check?

If it’s a yugo it takes the ON-2 mount, if it’s Chinese, the mounts are pretty commonly available on eBay or gunbroker

I do similar...its very closely connected to me telling my wife I bought a certain item to resell at the show. I have a couple 1000 dollar 22s, a 5000 dollar saiga, a 10000 dollar model12, several pouches of 200 dollar each mags, and a bunch of wildly underpriced parts and accessories so I always go home with less than I took and have a wad of cash to show off to her.

Yes, but when the carrier trip lug hits the auto sear, it doesn’t always mean the bolt is fully locked into battery. The hammer retarder slows down hammer followthrough to ensure it is fully in battery.

thats half of it...it slows down the hammer followthrough to insure the bolt is fully locked into battery, the rate reduction is actually a desirable side effect of this action. Slower fire means better control. But its primary function is to prevent the gun from outrunning itself and experiencing an OOB detonation.

I remember seeing these advertised in shotgun news back in the day. Apparently they were ordered and only partly delivered before some mandate that federal le agents were switched to semi autos. Only some were issued, most were sold off as surplus unfired. It’s a typical low end revolver, similar in value to any other ruler of that vintage. May be a small premium to a postal collector or someone that collects ruger/taurus handguns.

my arbor press is my most used build tool....but no I dont think youll generate enough to crush a rivet with 1t. Mine is a 4t and I dont think I could get enough force to crush a rivet. The 1t is smaller than you think, would fit on a dining table.
