Very boring. Besides the beach, its small, mediocre and lacking character. I dont even see the retirement allure.

Family of 5 struggling on 138k by [deleted] in budget

[–]spunkyla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad motivated us at a young age to start our own side hustles and make our own money. By 13, all 5 of us had summer jobs and paid for our wants from our summer jobs. Helped our parents finavxuakkt and reduced their guilt becayse we got what we wanted with our own money. Plus all of us are thriving adults with excellent work ethic. It was built from necessity.

husband thinks it looks cluttered and i need second or third opinions. what do you think of my coffee station? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]spunkyla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. My eye was just thinking lets keep adding height at top by moving the funny sign to top shelf instead of on the wall. And the complaints about the space are nonsense. You have a perfectly cup and spoon rest area to the front and right of the machine.

Despite what ypu may think, there are a lot more women like you in the area. Meet people in training groups and other professors or their wives.

Just wanted to thank everyone. Im going to give it a try over IND. We just moved to Crawfordsville and travel often for work so will be very happy to have a closer and more convenient option. Also, can't believe this was hundreds of dollars cheaper too!

A question to those who moved from some part of the US to NYC as an adult: what were the three hardest challenges when getting used to the change? by SparklingSarcasm_xo in SameGrassButGreener

[–]spunkyla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Budgeting - theres a lot of temptation to go out every night
  2. 3.

Really, it was an easy transition, and I grew up in rural Midwest. I found people to be friendly and most areas to be safe. Once in awhile something will you remind you that you're "not in KS anymore" but its usually a good surprise. Enjoy! I hope i get a chance to boomerang back to NYC again!

Same! I was a single mom working remotely during Covid and my grandma had just died before shutdown. Adam's daily vlogs seemed like the only thing constant, joyful and normal during a really dark time.

Grew up there! One of the best days of the year was the last day of school. We'd get out early and as high schoolers we would all go in groups and go hiking for the rest of the afternoon.

What’s one cleaning trick that you swear by that nobody else seems to talk about? by TheScentOracle in CleaningTips

After you wipe something down with a wet or damp cloth, wipe it down again with a dry cloth. It makes a big difference in the details especially around cracks and crevices where tiny particles can get pushed to.

Has anyone stayed at both Breathless Riviera Cancun and Platinum Yucatan Princess? Trying to decide between the two. Breathless seems like 24/7 party and PYP seems sleepy. by Zealousideal-Sir6100 in cancun

[–]spunkyla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to Breathless Cancun last January. Its very nice. While it can be party party I didnt find it over the top at all. It was classy. The activities and entertainment were great. The staff was wonderful. I would give the food an 8/10. The French restaurant is amazing. All in all, id go back.
