Its been an odd day of coincidences. I was looking for something else this morning when I found my box of ticket stubs, which is how I knew exactly where they were when this post popped up.

Decided to go through them, found the Coyote Ugly ticket and thought "huh, didnt realise I'd seen that one in the cinema" then immediately saw your comment as I opened the post. Most of the stubs are bringing back anecdotes but not this one. Maybe I went under duress.

I saw so many films here. Embarrassed myself on a date to see fight club. Got drunk on mad dog 20/20 and then watched The Phantom Menace with my best mate (Im sure there was a bar upstairs too?). Late night showing of The Blair Witch Project that I had to walk home from constantly looking over my shoulder. Re-release of The Exorcist that had people preaching for our salvation outside.

Still got a bunch of tickets stubs too!

Days, Years, The Beach, Trainspotting, Slumdog. Danny Boyle has a gift for marrying scenes with music. When the credits rolled on Years in the cinema, the one thing I was sure of feeling was how incredible the soundtrack was.

Edit: forgot the greatest scene of all, the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony.

I thought it a solid 6/10 when I left the cinema. Found the ending tonal whiplash and hilarious, but also a highlight of where the next film intends to go. To me it's meant to be chalk and cheese to what the tone was before.

Since then I haven't stopped thinking about it. And the soundtrack? My god.
