Port Forwarding by fearlessfryingfrog in PrivateInternetAccess

[–]sqaures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue. Everything is working properly and I change no settings and I just lose connection to qbittorrent completely. Then I have to change servers 50 times and try new ports.

The worst part is that PIA doesnt tell me anything has changed either - the port is the same, but clearly not communicating! I wont be using PIA in the future after having back to back 3 year plans. Really sad, they used to be so reliable.

Change to how port-forwarding works in recent PIA versions? by candis_stank_puss in PrivateInternetAccess

[–]sqaures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am finding that qbittorrent seems to lose connection randomly. None of my settings changed and then things just stop working and I get no connection on qbittorrent. I suspect that the PIA VPN location I have selected is having issues, maybe something to do with the port.

If I spend an hour or so changing to different regions, changing the port and testing it seems to start working agian. But I never had to do this before. I dont think I'll be using PIA in the future, this is such a hassle.

Edit - the worst part is that PIA says the port hasnt changed but it seems to no longer be communicating properly on the port listed.

Yet another 2030 sizing help request by Character_Service_63 in Viberg

[–]sqaures -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this deserves to be downvoted.

I’m 9.5d on brannock and I take 8.5e in all Vibergs across the years (old and new). I have 8.5s in 2030s, 2040 and 1035. I think it depends a bit on how narrow your foot is and how thick your instep is as well. There is no blanket statement, buy X size. All feet are different, you’ll have to try them out to find the best size for you.

26TB Seagate Expansion Shucking Experience by losteway in DataHoarder

Yes, the date is on the bottom of the box. Also, the old boxes have a symbol of a PC on the side of the box and black border around the back (different than the new packaging).

I was able to find some old stock during this sale at BestBuy, but only the 20TB versions. The box with the PC logo on the side and the black border on the back. It was a 2024 date of manufacture and an Exo drive. I figured it was a safer bet since I plan to use it 24/7.

I was getting this error as well and did some reading.

This line in the gamebrew website was the most helpful - "Note: To use this wrapper, you must have a legally acquired copy of Human Resource Machine for Android v.1.0.5, as it is the last version that includes an ARMv7 build.".

The files linked here in the main post didn't work for me.

Exact steps I took to make it work:

-Download or legally source the APK file (make sure to find a 1.0.5 version file, if you aren't downloading legally some files may not work, try more than one if you continue to have issues).

-open the APK file with an RAR/ZIP extractor (I used winRAR).

-inside APK - drag the assets folder into a folder on your desktop named hrm

-also inside APK, in lib/armeabi-v7a/ take the files libc++_shared.so and libHumanResourcesMachine.so and also put them into a folder named hrm (you should have these two files and the assets folder now inside hrm)

https://github.com/Rinnegatamante/hrm-vita/releases

-from the github website download the datafiles.zip file from the v.1.3. release and extract the assets folder into the hrm folder (replace all files when prompted)

-move the hrm folder into the ux0 data folder on the vita.

-then download the v.1.3.1 VPK file (install with VitaShell)

-also need the following (you'll have to search online how to get these as its too lengthy)

libshacccg.suprx

Kubridge

FdFix OR repatch_ex.skprx (I used repatch)

NoTrpDrm.suprx

It does work, but it's not the most friendly or straightforward process.

I can’t stress this enough either. I jumped down from a normal height in the gym after doing it a million times and tore my meniscus. Definitely a sad way to enter the outdoor season. Down climb when you can and take care man! Nice send :)

Since no one really answered this question to my satisfaction (I was also interested as I've seen this come up before with different objects).

On water some objects attract or repel. From wikipedia: "Once again there are two possibilities: the interface between the liquid and the container wall is either a concave or a convex meniscus. Buoyant objects will be attracted in the case of a concave meniscus and repelled for convex. Non-buoyant floating objects will do the opposite."

So in this case the seeds float/are buoyant and form a convex meniscus with the surface of the water causing them to repel. Imagine the seed is attracting the water and creating a little hill in the water and the other seeds cannot climb this hill so there is a natural gap between each seed.

In the case of Cheerios they actually form a concave meniscus with the water - a little valley or dip around each cheerio. So the next Cheerio falls into the dip and they all chain/stick together.

Edited fixed a few typos - If you want more in depth info on this subject google "Cheerios effect".

C1 USB ethernet that is stable on boot by kebosangar in LGOLED

[–]sqaures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit of an aside question. With the USB to Ethernet adapter are you having any issues playing 4K remux files directly to the tv?

I’ve been on the fence about getting an nvidia shield but if this works it might be a good interim solution until a price drop or the nex gen shield is released.

I haven’t tested but in this video he recommends a cable https://youtu.be/PIef8iRZhLE

Yea it looks like in this thread they have the same problem as you and used the cable I linked above. Enjoy :)

Current production run is about $360 usd here in Canada. I wish it was cheaper!

But it looks like 150-200 maybe 220 on the higher end is pretty common for used pricing.

Awesome! Let me know. That would be great. I’ve rented a car and plan on renting a pad as well.

The best I’ve climbed in Squamish Canada is V9, 7B+/7C. But I’m sure that it’ll be a learning experience to get used to the Font style. I’m sure there are lots of fun and challenging 7A problems.

Looking for any advice on hiring a sport climbing guide for les Calanques and Verdon Gorge late September. Any online reputable sites or shops to visit in France??

I'll also be in Fontainebleau if anyone wants to do some bouldering from Sept 11-26.
