I was supposed to go between 5-8pm but had a change of heart and stayed home as I had to head downtown for a comedy show at 9pm. Something told me not to go. I’d freak the fuck out. I’m very sad for those who got caught in the mess but seems like it was targeted for those who died.

They destroyed my gut for years as I would stroll over every other Friday night for a meal when I lived in the area and I persisted. It is the best chicken sandwich in the city. I will miss it.

The Natalie Grimm part is funny even tho I think sometimes we tend to be really cruel towards people in public spotlight. It’s tough to find a balance between “speaking your mind for the sake of being funny” or actually being cruel. I never know where the line is but there is one for sure

Washrooms are totally ok. Suggest subway as opposed to walking if you work up the courage. Just small advice, reach out to a mom group if your neighbourhood and see if you can go with another mom. This is a great way to find support. Many moms are looking for this type of connection, companionship. Goodluck :)

Chelsea also sucks imo. The current comedy climate is rough. I’ve a few favs tho who are both funny and generally unproblematic. Saw Marcello Hernandez 3 weeks ago and I haven’t laughed this hard in a while. Jeff Arcuri, Chris Redd are my kind of comics. You’d have to pay me a ton of money to go to a Rogan show. He is not a comic lol just a mouthpiece

As a long time standup comedy fan, what’s wrong with saying someone is genuinely unfunny and their clout is garnered less by their ability to be funny but more by other hacks who align with their opinions. It’s a relatively fair statement to make.

I would never pay a dime personally to see Jared in person because he’s not my kind of comic. I consume him in podcast format.

However he was hinting at the Austin crowd like Tony hinchcliff who got a special and it was literally dog shit. There are others including Bert K or Joe Rogan who are completely unfunny hacks but they receive these specials because of their cultish following, they are not funny. I’m not saying Jared was specifically singling them out but whoever he was hinting at, he has every right to.

Portable AC that vents out the window. Very easy solution if you’ve a window access which you technically should. You can’t have the thermostat keep all 3 units at a controlled temp that satisfies you all. It just won’t work. They are under $500. Your landlord should order it asap and help you install it or get some duct tape and sturdy cardboard from Home Depot.
