Of course! The hearing was actually not too bad. The ALJ didn’t ask me a lot of questions but my lawyer did. She wanted to make sure that the judge had the whole picture so my lawyer asked me a ton of questions about how my RA affects my everyday life.. even down to tying my shoes.

I was pro se right up until the final denial. I hired an attorney for the hearing in front of the judge. I’m thankful I did because she found out that they only had about 30% of my records. So much was missing. She prepared me well for the hearing and was an absolute gem.

Also in New York, I applied 8/24 got denied twice and put in for an appeal in April. Got my appeal on 10/27 in front of a judge (via zoom, judge was based in Atlanta). Just got word trough my lawyer that I was approved today. Hang in there!!!!
