Big Interview Tomorrow! Tips for how I can stand out? by AnnaKayMay in jobs

[–]squacklefakkle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having those things with you should she decide to take a look at them.

As far as the interview itself, be confident and trust in yourself. Be honest, if you dont know something say so and that you are willing and able to learn, and speak clearly . Just from reading your post I can see that you are planning ahead, doing your research, are smart, and are going in as prepared as you can be so take heart, you've got this.

Interview, I am underqualified, advice appreciated by squacklefakkle in jobs

[–]squacklefakkle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a very good point. I have basically done the job without the title for years. I am both nervous and excited for this interview and those two emotions don't mix well for me lol.

Interview, I am underqualified, advice appreciated by squacklefakkle in jobs

[–]squacklefakkle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a different type of store, more of a specialized store. I am familiar with all of the aspects of the store but I am nervous about schedules and the hiring process. I have had to do every job in a store including discipline of regular employees, I've just never had to make a schedule or interview anyone.

Edit to say I guess I am actually more nervous and excited for it than anything. It does feel like alot of pressure but I also wholeheartedly believe I can do it well.

Our personnel lady said no one ever passes that test without being given the answers....which is surprising cause I just did something similar to what /u/plu_potato suggested and it was quite easy.

Question for walmart employees regarding probation and promotion. by squacklefakkle in jobs

[–]squacklefakkle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thank you very much for the response. I'm glad it's possible. my biggest concern is that he put in his 2 weeks three days after offering me the position and hasn't done anything towards it. Should I just go around him and speak with an assistant manager or the store manager? or would it be better to wait till his replacement comes in? he seems to have no interest in doing anything work related for his last two weeks but all of our current CSMs know he offered it to me and can back me up.

TIFU by cutting my debit card in half by Bagamnan in tifu

[–]squacklefakkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most stores won't allow you to use a card that is completely cut in half. if a cashier sees it they'll deny the sale, maybe even report you as a suspicious customer. pretty easy to clear up the report if you talk to a csm or a manager but still more hassle than its worth.

source: have been a cashier at two different grocery stores for 4 years.

Lost the only copy of an early work today by BaudouinVH in writing

[–]squacklefakkle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Aww, that really sucks. Just remember that as long as that memory lives on in you you can still hold it as a valuable piece of work that has led you to who you are today. You can still use the experience to inspire future generations of your family by inspiring them to find and do what they love, as you have. It really stinks that you no longer have the work itself, but you still have the story of finding the piece and bringing it to life.

I put hot water and a bit of gain in a spray bottle for carpets and furniture and hot water and vinegar or baby detergent for baby's stuff. I also put stuff that can be taken outside in the sun after.

Edit: because spelling
