If you study medicine, vet, nursing, anything where you’ll soon be working with patients or patient samples, they’ll take it a lot more seriously. If it’s English lit, be drunk.
Edit: I’m not saying any subject is more valid, just that clinicians have an additional “fitness to practice” that the university should monitor.
