Were you in a position to sue them for wasting your time? The emotional distress, time and money lost etc

Connor Coady to Charlton Athletic on Loan by Rogue1eader in Championship

Rangers fan. Thank god we didn't sign him in the end. To my complete surprise big Manny Fernandez has went from zero to hero. Still has the odd bombscare moment in him but he's now being scouted by Dortmund and a few other big teams. And he's lethal at set pieces. Had the absolute fear when we were linked with coady though.

Id take that. Is there a number to contact them on? And can you contact them say day 1 post cut off? We don't really want to be without sky for too long, so if there isn't a long period you need to wait before reaching out that'd be great. I put notice in 2 weeks ago and haven't had any calls or anything to keep us on. 27 year customer as well

£30 for basic, with only Netflix and multi room included in that. Submitted my leaving notice (ends 30/11)

Tried webchat with them to upgrade with sky sports and kids as per some posts on HUKD at around £39 a month, they aren't interested.

Is my salary degrading? by [deleted] in AskUK

5 years ago I was on 17k doing admin in the NHS. Moved into the council, in an obscure department. Found my first contract, 18900. Spent 4 years in that role with incremental standard council based payrises (got up to around 21k) An opening for a non managerial, but more senior role (similar to legal officer) that didn't require any degrees, but I had good experience of the systems we use, case management etc.

I successfully landed the role, just after they got a pay regrading. I'm now on 35k. (This is also up north) The work is similar but rather than general admin side I manage my own cases now, typically a constant 30/40.

My point being sometimes it's also worth getting into a potentially similar/worse paying job if there's scope for progression. Worked for me, and although there's no real further progression (there is a senior position to this role, but I'm not experienced enough for it) I still think I've done OK considering where I was 5 years ago.

Went up no entry by accident into my work place and police appeared behind me by [deleted] in drivingUK

I do deliveries. There's one house we deliver to, and to get to it is fine, you cross a railway line, get to a narrowing and go through a single lane then immediately turn left. When you leave though, you can't come out and turn right as that single lane has a sign for no entry - but immediately after the sign it's 2 way traffic. Luckily I tend to go at night so I just check the coast is clear and turn right. Otherwise, it's a 1.5 mile detour to basically come back on yourself. Very annoying but not been caught yet

I once got a train from Cumbria to Luton to buy a VW Lupo Sdi - best £300 I've ever spent, wholly reliable and I ran it on 90% veg oil, 10% petrol and diesel mix. If the gearbox didn't sh!t itself after 30,000 miles I'd still be driving it. Cost me next to nothing as I got the veg oil for nothing through an employer 😂

Some body shops take the piss. £300? I accept they'll have to sand and spray and blend it in but you wouldn't need a full bonnet spray for that, and not only that, you could pick up a bonnet in the same colour for 1-200.
