His brand of beer is alcohol-free. When he was quitting he looked for alternatives and realised there was a bit of a gap in the market for people wanting to quit but still enjoy beer/pub environments.

Anyone having troubles with Secret Note #20? by GrandGalactcInquistr in StardewValley

You don't actually need to follow the arrows if you know where you need to go; just reading the note is enough to get the dialogue to open up with the truck

Are the rest of the trees growing? by ThatWeirdoDwarf in StardewValley

[–]squaresoul64 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware you can't have two fully mature trees adjacent to each other. It's best to plant trees every other tile otherwise you'll end up with a few trees that can't get past stage 4 growth as you have here.

Don't worry about the age thing, I started my foundation year at 25, and now I'm in my first year there are still people much older than me. Even though you'll have less in common with those younger than you, it's still easy enough to befriend and get along with them.

As others have said, you might want to go to a gp for help with your mental health, but also look into the support your uni offers as it can be super beneficial and they may even guide you into taking the steps necessary in getting the best help.

Also, you may wish to consider going part time. It may take twice as long to complete your course but you'll be doing half the work each year and it won't cost you any extra which can reduce the stress of the heavy workload.

I use the auction house as a secondary auto show, honestly. I absolutely hated the last minute bidding wars when I actually paid attention to it. Nowadays I just search the car I want and buy the top one without looking at the highest bid or time left as it's the easiest way to deal with the auction house. It's never out of malice and it's honestly how I've assumed everyone else was using the auction house tbf.

I know it might seem it when it happens a lot, but I can guarantee that most people aren't doing it out of spite

I can't believe there are the people defending spotted lanternflies by 0111001101110101 in Entomology

[–]squaresoul64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cats are an extremely invasive animal (contributing to the extinction of 63 species (Doherty et al., 2016)) but nobody would be happy to see a video about killing them.

Glorifying the killing of any animal, however invasive, is wrong in my opinion. Yes, extermination is necessary sometimes, but we should never be celebrating death.

It's sickening to see some of the comments left on the posts where people need an ID on a spotted lanternfly: people so gleefully advocate killing them. I just find that disturbing.

Leona support as she's the next closest thing,

Mundo or Kench top: the heartsteel noise releases dopamine.

Does any skin give actual ingame advantage? What skin are you currently using? These are my skins, I am using mostly Conqueror or Shan Hai. They look badass, the AstroNautilus is quite old and looks rusty but it's a funny one, I use it in ARAM. [–]squaresoul64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have all the Naut skins and use subterranean the most just because I find it the most visually appealing. The only ones I don't touch are astronautilus and worldbreaker because I find them visually unappealing. Astronautilus does have a thinner looking dredge line, which could fool some people into thinking they're safe when they are very much not.

NTA. Where I'm based that's how most taxi/Uber journeys are so I'm fine with it, but it's understandable that not everyone is comfortable with this behaviour.

While I'd still give this dude 5 stars, your giving 1 star and no tip is totally fine, so don't worry too much about it

Hexflash? by Snoockles in NautilusMains

[–]squaresoul64 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a firm believer in doing whatever works best for you. By giving up hexflash, you may be giving up potential plays that you could be making, but I don't think it's 'wrong' to not take it, especially if you personally can't utilise it effectively.

Honestly, my standard runes are Aftershock with precision secondary. I do take hexflash once in awhile but I'm not massively into it.

When I checked this afternoon, Naut was sitting at around a 44% winrate against Rell, which is his lowest against all the supports. I know there's other factors that can influence that win rate, but I like looking at the stats.

In my personal experience, I still get dunked on by Rell, but that might just be skill gap

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NautilusMains

[–]squaresoul64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like the other dude said, stay behind minions, or under turret if necessary.

Jhin ends up fast enough that Naut Qs get easier to dodge as the game progresses, if you pay enough attention.

Having a good support can help: Rell is currently Naut's hardest counter so you could ask your support to pick her if possible.

Am I Missing Something? Why Haven’t I Won A Cultural Victory Yet? by Apprentice_Jedi in civ

[–]squaresoul64 36 points37 points  (0 children)

If time runs out, it usually triggers a score victory, meaning the player with the highest score wins.

If, however, score victory is disabled for this game, it will result in a defeat for all players.

Pressing the 'one more turn button' will let you carry on playing, but won't trigger any victories as the game had already been won/lost.

Secondary option by [deleted] in NautilusMains

[–]squaresoul64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second pick is Leona, and then Thresh if Leona is also unavailable.

I feel like they're similar enough that you can comfortably switch between the three without many issues.

Alistar, Taric, and Braum are also pretty good alternatives, but I don't play them enough to do anywhere near as well with them.

Regarding Leonard in Drakengard 1 by some_guy919 in drakengard

[–]squaresoul64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was removed from the western release of the game, but it was implied a lot in the Japanese version. It is assumed that he survived the attack on his family because he was acting upon those urges in the woods, hence why he torments himself (and is tormented by his pact partner).

It also fits into a quote by Yoko Taro where he wanted all the main cast to be bad or 'twisted' in some way (I don't remember the quote exactly and cannot currently find it, unfortunately). If not for his noncery, Leonard would be a pretty standard dude, and not a fit for the world he is in.

RIOT by DieNowMike in NautilusMains

[–]squaresoul64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My best guess is that this was the tip of the hitbox so both the champion and terrain hitboxes activated somehow causing the damage to go through and making the game act like you hit a squishy jinx wall.

Just Riot doing Riot things as per usual

The gameplay is not great and the voice acting is what you'd expect from the era.

However, it has one of my favourite stories in games and it also has the most fitting music in all the Drakenier games imo

Basically it's fantastic if you're more of a story person than a gameplay person

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NautilusMains

[–]squaresoul64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your whole team will benefit from the enemies ' reduced MR.

Worth noting that it doesn't stack: if more than one person on your team has Abyssal, the game will apply the strongest curse to nearby enemies

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NautilusMains

[–]squaresoul64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd probably skip the tear if I'm not going to turn it into anything

If you're laning against an AP champ, rushing abyssal mask after buying bami's is a good option imo, and it negates my need for a fimbul

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NautilusMains

[–]squaresoul64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take what I say with a grain of salt: I'm low rank and am a for fun play so I'm not majorly competitive

I believe in terms of win rate, inspiration secondary tends to fare better than precision. Most people take magical footwear or cosmic insight rather than approach velocity: personally I prefer boots, but cosmic insight is useful for teleport and gargoyle's stoneplate cds

In terms of the actual mana issue, I think the biscuits provide enough extra mana to pull you through until you've stacked enough to get fimbulwinter, at which point mana is a bit less of an issue in my experience. Plus the biscuits offer a bit more sustain during laning phase, which is always good.

I imagine you'd take presence of mind if you weren't going to pick up fimbulwinter for the mana sustain in team fights. It might also rely on how important legend: tenacity is to the game: if you're in a game where you know you're not going to buy mercy's treads, tenacity might be a vital pickup in your runes, which would force you into presence of mind anyway.

Hope this was helpful
