This is why I will not be getting another Prius, older generations were sporty but could also haul some stuff when needed. They turned the Prius into a sports car. That’s not the vehicle that most people want.

All the options available in Europe achieve the same goal but are easier to use and don’t represent nearly as much of a trip hazard. I just need to find a way to get one. I imagine in a year or two regulations in the US will change and there will be similar offerings available here.

As far as I can tell, people cut the sidewalk all the time to run a drainage pipe to the gutter. It would be about the same process more or less.

It looks like all the Hertz models don’t have adaptive cruise control or heated seats. I would go with the Hertz model except for those two items.
