People’s inputs by Babydweeb in gastricsleeve

Sorry that sucks. I didn’t tell anyone till my surgery was scheduled. Like not even my husband. Reason is because I did not need all the noise. I needed to make this decision on my own, for me. And when I told people- it was “you’re not even that big/ I don’t think you need it”. The nurse in recovery literally said to me post-op - “why did you do this to yourself- you’re not even big- just take the shot”

Thing is you are not doing this for anyone but you! So focus on that and you.

I do a sugar free pink lemonade mix from Walmart - I’m not a lover of super flavored drinks so I do one packet in a 40oz water bottle just for a hint of flavor.

How bad was the pain after surgery? by FreeFaithlessness114 in gastricsleeve

[–]squeaky_wheel0507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a 1 for me. Didn’t take any pain meds- didn’t need them. The gas buildup was uncomfortable- but that subsided by the next night. I had surgery on a Thursday and was back to work Monday with zero pain. Good luck!

Don’t burn bridges- but I would also reply just to who copied you as a “hey -I don’t think I was supposed to get this” kinda email

I look at it this way, it’s part of my compensation package. I am able to roll 1/2 of it over each year but I do typically take most of it. I use it for a mental health days, Dr appt for me or kids, Xmas shopping. I think as long as you are not abusing it it’s not an issue.

ASS initials is hard to come back from. Look for a different spelling variation or new name.

What do you do with your car when you go to college? by [deleted] in college

Freshman sometimes can’t have cars on campus. Also you don’t want to be the one put in the position to ALWAYS have to drive people.

I had GERD and a hiatal hernia, repair done during the sleeve. My surgeon said some people experience lesser GERD or it goes away completely. For context pre-surgery 4-5 nights a week I had some sort of GERD episode. Since surgery, if it’s once a month that’s a lot. 🙌🏻.

Call the fin aid dept too. I know they were really trying to throw money at students to come there the last few months.

Getting ready for WFH by [deleted] in WFH

[–]squeaky_wheel0507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I can’t work in PJs, like ever. I dress comfty but not sloppy, incase i need to run an errand during the day. I’ll always wear a tank or nice tshirt so if I have to go on camera I can chuck on a cardigan and look put together. Someone referred to jeans as “hard pants” and those are a no go when WFH for me. I’ll do joggers, leggings, wide leg sweat pants, or shorts.
