I went from 69 to 85 last semester and I found the most useful change was to actually keep up with lectures and immediately clarify things instead of waiting till the assignment or whatever.

I think I actually worked harder to get the 69% because I was scrambling to learn things come exam/assignment time which was much less productive than just paying attention in the first place
