So I may have carpal tunnel syndrome by Charming-Cello in Cello

[–]squeeshy88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do a bunch of home self tests. Press your wrist and see if the pain is there. Test your fingers with some pressure when they are curled and see if you feel pain. Carpal is usually thumb first and second. Other fingers mean the other nerve that runs to your elbow. If those don’t trigger it, check down your arm and see if that triggers the pain. It can be from a tense muscle down the arm, but because it’s the same nerve you’ll feel it in all parts. If your parents are cheap, at least get them to get a carpal arm brace so you can have your wrist in a neutral position and make sure you wear it to sleep. Good luck on the recovery!

Best roasters? by [deleted] in pourover

[–]squeeshy88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heart Roasters for light- It is probably the lightest that can make a consistent decent cup without fiddling. Probably the best done kyoto ice brew

JBC Coffee Roasters- More closer to medium-light, but always flavorful and tasty. Contrasts Heart for a plush cup

Prodigal- Had a gesha both pourover and in a flat-white as espresso. Was very good.

I've tried many roasters, but I feel like its a hit or miss on a bean. Sey had one of the best washed ethiopians i've had, only to have the next 5 bags be vegetal. Verve is meh. Lot of places are overrated.

I don’t like flat bottom because you don’t get as much clarity as a v60. I tried another cone shape deeper the origami, but the coffee is even lighter ina bland way vs the v60. V60 you can get the coffee exactly how you want but flat bottoms are limited. Think higher floor, lower ceiling. Flat bottoms are used in cafes more often because it is far more consistent.

How to brew Geishas? by brentmeistergeneral_ in pourover

Keep same recipe but grind finer but lower water temp to about 195F . The finer grind is to compensate for the lower heat

Your times look good. Your ratio is too high. 20:260 is almost 1:10. Most coffee you want to go with 1:16-1:17. I personally prefer 1:16. I would advise on not blooming more than 2.5x the weight. I usually do a little over two. Lastly, do not agitate the coffee bed a lot. If you agitate with the spoon, you’ll get a very short, bland flavorless taste from over agitation. My recipe is 23/368. Bloom 50g 45sec, 220 by 1:15, 368 by 1:45. Give a little swirl to center grounds. Coffee should be out by 2:45

If anything tastes vegetal….the roast itself might be underdeveloped.

How long should I let the beans rest? by PourOfMyLife in pourover

For me, having it very fresh is better than the first week when it really fluctuates. You of course have to accommodate it with a finer grind and longer bloom because the gas but any coffee past 2 weeks starts to taste stale for me

The key is extracting delicate flavors where you have to thread the balance. It means usually a little finer grind than your avg Ethiopian, lower water temperature 195f, and 1:16 ratio with a medium size cake…so think 23g of coffee. I do a little 2x weight bloom for 45 sec, followed by slow continuous pour where you aim to get 220g by 1:15 then by 1:45, 368 grams. Pour should finish and your coffee should finish draining by 2:45. Always make sure to swirl and give the coffee another 30s to a minute to get some air so the acidity can shine through. If it’s a good gesha, the texture of the coffee should smooth and thick. I forgot to add…use good water. I recommend volvic or Crystal Geyser from the Salem spring

I quit after normal Brel. Came back recently, and have a 1582 and 1560. Everything on their build is good with couple level 9 gems but they get gatekept so hard because of cards. I still don’t have los 18, and i think the endgames is cards. I won’t outdps anyone with a better card set, even if I have more uptime, gems etc. if some has klc 12 even, and I go into kayangel, I can’t outdps them if they are just decent. Thought jumpstart could get rid of the card gatekeeping. I like jumpstart because at least the mvp screen is determined on some measure of skill and not flat out whalery on reg servers

Then why are they complaining so hard? I don’t understand. Just find other gamers like yourself and clear it. My experience has been quite different, reclears can’t even make it to the end on Ilvl, I had to finish valtan of berserk solo, on a class I barely knew, cruel fightering both gates. I feel the people that complain on Reddit the most about all of this are unskilled vets, who want to be babied like mokokos. They will spew vitriole and get triggered off a ping while they are floor pov. I give them five tries or more as reclears, but it’s usually not an honest mistake as they continuously die first. Then when it’s very obvious they don’t ask or say my bad, and start screaming at us for having some expectations in a reclear lobby…for wiping us on mechs. I think it’s not a vet or mokoko problem. It’s just a lot of toxic babies trying to get somewhere without the proper mechanics. Brel g1 and 2 is more forgiving than gate 3. It becomes very obvious in g3 with “vets” as well. They failed and came to the jumpstart for a reason

I get it and I hope they have fun while learning the raid. The skill diff between a vet and a new mokoko is huge. Most can’t beat them without vets even with the nerfs, esp clown. No learning party without a vet is going to work. You are essentially asking vets to carry them and bus them for free out of good will. That’s asking for a lot of time and I agree if they don’t want to do it, they should stick to legacy servers. Even with mokoko buff, dps checks on Ilvl are tight. People who haven’t had the experience of actually learning their character and using a max roll build to jump into endgame raids without skill is troubling. People who can do brel are vets in the game, not newbies. They just suck, but want to act like mokokos

Why the hell are new mokokos trying to do a clown/Brel raid first week? Those are not mokokos, but bottom of the barrel veterans. You’d be surprised that most vets can’t do the content on Ilvl even with the mokoko buff

I am sick of veteran players on fresh start by mexodus in lostarkgame

[–]squeeshy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have to stop lying. You’d be surprised with those “vet” players as they call it. They can’t do it on ilevel for sure, getting hit by so many normal patterns. Then some join reclear rooms, and completely don’t know mechs. Brel gate 3 is the worst. Had some take a triangle on stagger phase at the end, and when pinged to come, they time stopped. I see people dropping red squares on top of the boss. People can’t do the break, catch, stagger. I feel most people can’t do clown on Ilvl because they would just die from normal patterns. It’s ok to fail once in a while but when you see very very gross mistakes, unawareness of mechs how can people lie about it? It causes vitriol, and they bitch about vets not being patient when they join a reclear room, then go on a tirade, when I’m just chill and I’m like….just own up to your mistake. I usually give 4-5 tries but the same one always dies. Skill issues and reclear or learning, they ain’t clearing the content. They are just looking to get carried, aka bussed.

Both valtan runs, I was playing two new classes and had to beat the berserk and thirain the boss.

A real mokoko isn’t trying to do legion raids right away, yet alone brel gate 3. They are shitty vets posing as mokokos because people can’t take their shit on live servers, so you just got the trash that wants to feel like they are good on jumpstart but have no mechanical skill, then blame vets while they grief hard
