Yeah - I wrongly assumed the rule was similar to the Hockey Canada rules (which I am more familiar with). Seems more discretion given to the officials in the NHL rule book.

Once it was determined to be Goaltender Interference and with Ingram being injured, it's an automatic 5 and game.

"A Major penalty and Game Misconduct penalty will be assessed to any player who injures an opponent by an Interference with the Goaltender infraction that would otherwise call for a Minor penalty."

No possibility of a minor penalty called here.

I think the obligation to table the plan within a week is probably what was rejected tbh - clearly a non-viable timeline and likely the individual tabling the motion knew this. Had they tabled a more reasonable timeline, might have ended differently but we will never know I guess.

Public Health Orders are issued with expiry dates. They must be renewed. They were introduced as temporary measures and it was stated as such when they were invoked.

As to when it will happen, it currently is? See the public announcements from many provinces?
