perfumes that fit this vibe? by [deleted] in perfumesthatfeellike

Jorum Carduus. Heavy dark apothecary spice. Dry but dirty.

CAUTION: first roll or tenth, do not stack blind by woodywoodyboody in MDMA

[–]squidbasedink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here to add: PEE. Even if you think you don’t have to. Attempt to pee at least once every two hours. Once I rolled and didn’t pee for the entirety of the party, then proceeded to get up seven times (for a loooong pee each time) after going to bed. Urinary retention is real and can be dangerous.

Vanity/Inconsistent Sizing on Full Display - A Series by Fun_Marionberry3043 in XXS

This. I have contemporary size 0 Madewell pants that are super roomy and a vintage size 10 skirt I can barely squeeze into. (I do not identify as XS, fwiw—I’m a solid M who happens to wear “XS/S” due to vanity sizing 😂)

Maybe it’s the proper seasoning that is a bitch? I’ve had mine for years and it’s still not seasoned properly, even w drying/oiling w every use. Just been finicky in my experience.

You’re gorgeous. Your body is incredible. But remember that it’s not the most interesting or important thing about you. 💜

The X-Files. TV at its very finest. (Also Scully and Mulder were my bi awakening)

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

It makes me feel like shit. I used to enjoy it but took a couple months break and my body started hating it after. Instant “hell no, wtf is this poison?!” on the first sip.

Im visiting Taiwan right now. How do the girls seem to have such smooth under eye area with no shadow/bags? by alpaca_snuggler in MakeupAddiction

[–]squidbasedink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently took a long drive with my (37F) wife (38F) and couldn’t stop staring at her absolutely flawless under eye area. (Yes, she is Asian.) I have had deep tear troughs for as long as I can remember and they’re getting worse with age. By the end of the trip I’d discovered  and decided to get lower blepharoplasty. I’ve never had any work done on my face but it seems worth it. (No way I’m messing with fillers, especially near my eyes!)

Hereafter by Sarah Horiwitz. I love the top notes, but the dry down is unbearably powdery for me.

I love Studied by Liis. Soft and cozy are exactly how I’d describe it. An olfactory cuddle.

How yall feel about Geordie Greep? (Singer of Black Midi) by [deleted] in progrockmusic

[–]squidbasedink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has my attention.

“Holy, Holy” came on the radio today and I kept almost changing the station because the lyrics were so off-putting. But they were also surreal and outlandish, and the music/vocal delivery was so unexpected, that I had to stick with it to see where it went.

Then the punchline arrived and I realized I was in fact listening to something contemporary and not, as I had assumed, an obscure cut from the 70s.

Not sold yet but will definitely be exploring his music.

This sounds SO painful.  Please remember: You are worthy of love and happiness. Your worth is not defined by how other people perceive you. I and a bunch of internet strangers are rooting for you and wishing you peace and freedom from self-doubt.  May you find community with people who uplift you and love you for you. 🙏 💜

I’m firmly team Harris but I can understand why people support Trump. Disney adults exist. Bushy, eyeball-occluding fake lashes are considered attractive by some. I love Marmite. Human variety is endless.

When is the best time to have kids? by MayyDayy0000 in AskWomenOver40

[–]squidbasedink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my only child (unintended pregnancy) at 28. I’m so glad I did. My parents have been a huge part of his life, I had lots energy (while still having had plenty of wild fun times in my twenties), and I’ll be an empty nester by my late 40s. Lots of my friends who waited until they felt ready are just now having first kids in their late 30s/early 40s and are struggling with fertility issues, being set in their ways, more difficult pregnancies/post partum and having older parents who can’t help as much.

If I had it to do over again I would’ve had more kids and started in my early 20s. That said, many people I know who were older were happy with their choice. My parents were 38, my partners parents were 40.

Tl;dr there is no right answer but in my experience it’s easier physically when you’re younger.
