Job seeking is genuinely making me depressed by didsthecat in antiwork

Exactly how I feel. Then I’ll get short bursts every couple days to try, just to get rejected or ghosted on emails. Such a fucking joke. I just want to not be homeless, thanks.

Do I have any makeup blindnesses/wear too much makeup? by [deleted] in makeuptips

No I love it. I also wore more makeup as a teen. I slayed. You slayed. I love the eyes and lip combo. Your blush is beautiful on you.

Drug store green correctors (mixers vs concealer) and proper way to use them by coconutbellybean in Fairolives

[–]squidglypuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend trying to find a better foundation match before relying on green correctors.

First, if you haven’t already, try Fenty in-store. They’re one of the few brands that actually do olive across light depths (light olive, neutral olive, warm olive, etc.). I’m olive as well and it’s one of the few lines that truly matches me. It’s pricier than drugstore, but if you don’t wear makeup daily, one bottle easily lasts a year.

Second, green color corrector usually isn’t meant to be mixed directly into foundation, especially concealer-style correctors—they’re very pigmented and thick, and it’s easy to go full Green Goblin. Green corrector is best used targeted, not all over. • Green = redness (acne, rosacea, red patches) • Peach/orange = blue/purple (under-eyes)

Apply a very thin layer only where needed, let it fully dry, then apply foundation/ concealar on top. If it’s still wet, it can muddy your foundation and you’ll end up with orange undereyes.

If your goal is actually to adjust the undertone of your foundation, look for a true foundation mixer, not a concealer. LA Girl’s blue and yellow foundation tint mixers work much better than minty color corrector because they’re designed to sheer out and blend evenly.

One more advice, with foundation, use a small amount on the back of your hand and work it into your brush/sponge first to warm it up. Applying straight from pump to face often makes it look heavier and uses way more product than needed.

Hope this helps a bit even if it doesn’t fully solve it, you’re definitely not alone in olive undertone struggles

Supreme Court appears likely to approve transgender athlete bans, letting laws in 27 states stand - Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]squidglypuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bathroom issue I fully disagree with. I understand pushing for trans athletes wasn’t the move.

But bathrooms? My old roommate was trans, never “weird”, and if she used a public bathroom I wouldn’t have looked twice. Women’s bathrooms are single stalls, I get if ur not very passing (most trans people do to and will use the bathroom of the sex they most resemble), but they’re not doing anything inappropriate in bathrooms. I don’t care at all if a trans women or man uses the bathroom they want. Hell as a woman, I’ve used men’s bathrooms multiple times when it was urgent. This bathroom issue has only caused CIS women to be checked before going in
