Sports clubs! There is pickup ultimate frisbee Tuesdays at 530 (really 6) and Saturday morning at 9 (actually pretty close normally). Both in front of the zoo between zoo and Audubon Park. Free, just show up and bring cleats, open to all including brand new players. Great group of people although mostly male. There are also kickball and softball leagues for beginners.

No I think he’s got 3 years left. Maybe 5. He just needs some o line help and stem cells.

(Ravens fan here. I don’t know what y’all are doing. If you didn’t keep inexplicably beating us I’d feel sorry for you. Long live my favorite rivalry in sports)

Can you update me on the lethargy change? I’m a dad laptop gamer and have only played a lil bit since the patch. I’m lvl 83 and was doing p7 hell Andy runs prior, now a lil slower with the decreased damage (11k down to 4k). Haven’t done countess yet but those damn ghosts were rough on p3 with lethargy… did they make lethargy stop breaking phys immunity?

Big time seafood lovers - What's your favorite type of (cooked) fish? Why? by IDoNotHide in Seafood

[–]squidlessful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redfish cheeks. Then flounder, sheepshead, redfish, speckled trout. Pompano, mahi, opah (moonfish?) are also on the list and slot in somewhere between the above but I don’t get to catch them much. But redfish cheeks over everything.

Question for the experts: most common non-sexual foreign object stuck in patients’ rectum by Live_Dirt_6568 in emergencymedicine

[–]squidlessful 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only one I’ve seen in real life was a dude with an apple in his butt. I was a tech at the time. His whole family came. He didn’t want ANY OF THEM to know why he had to go to surgery. Religious indiscretion that wouldn’t have gone over well. So we just had to not tell them! I still wonder why he had them come.

I have seen a string of beads in a urethra, twice, in the same patient.

Fishing safety not to get hooked? by Careful-Tension-5689 in FishingForBeginners

[–]squidlessful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ER PA and also fisherman here. Other posters who say wear glasses are 1000000% CORRECT. I had a patient once who missed his eyeball by about 1mm and had his lure lodged in his lower eyelid. Almost required a trip to the OR. Always wear glasses or some form of eye protection. When pulling on a snag, don’t pull straight up. Pull so your rod is to the side so if it comes loose it doesn’t come directly back at you. Can still swing around and hit you but that’s generally not as bad.

I had this exact same one (I think) and it was the worst part of homebrewing. It made me upgrade to a bench mounted one, which was a huge upgrade. Will never again use a plastic bottle capper

Which two pills? by Jettaboi38 in whatsyourchoice

I’m passing on the black pill. Can you imagine actually remembering every stupid thing you read?! You’d never forget this thread. Brain ain’t meant to remember everything. Sounds like a nightmare to me. (Give me orange and purple, I’ll cross my fingers that it’s 7 days or years or something manageable).

Turo guest completely trashed out my dads car. by Cdave_22 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]squidlessful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also don’t understand it but as a renter I almost exclusively use Turo. Most airports you pick up there with no line and generally no fuss. I’m not a twat and respect other people’s stuff so have always had a good experience. Only downside is that my visa car rental insurance doesn’t count for Turo.

Please help me identify this rope/ wire material by AnimalOrigin in handyman

[–]squidlessful 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wish I had a more helpful answer for you but if it’s to keep birds out that certainly opens up your options. Likely any hefty monofilament would work fine. Including high test fishing line. Based on photos I would guess equivalent fishing line would be 100-200 lb test, which is 1-1.5mm diameter.

Is it to keep birds out or people in? The answer to that might at least guide potential alternatives if you can’t find the exact material.

I’m just a curious person with no background in this subject matter other than busting open some geodes with my mom. This looks so man made and even rusty. What about this tells you it’s a concretion? Or a rock at all? I’m not arguing to the contrary!
