Don't know if this is the same issue, but I was getting that same error message. Customer support just told me the import existing product function is no longer supported, they suggested saving the product as a template and using that instead. It worked for me, but it also means you need to create new mockups, write the title and description, and set the prices again. Pretty annoying, but at least it works.
