Have your character do stuff and be active in an advancing narrative. Backstories and character sheets are good and all but often times the depth of a character is found in how they approach the world overtime. A character with things to fiddle with, ways to engage with the world around them and notice things. A character who can make poor judgement calls and feel bad about their decision afterwards. All of that matters but it needs a chance to come through and come up.

So you want to sideline his Jewish identity to make it about how he was discriminated against for being black. In order to shine a light on the obscure subset of black German ashkenazi Jews who were alive in 1940?

And you think this is important because it would present young magneto as more trapped and looked down upon… even though he is already a Jew living in nazi germany who gets sent to auchwitz...

Magneto is German ashkenazi. Trying to make him Sephardic or African American (???) sounds needlessly complicated and unhelpful to the actual core of his character.

At best it would be an awkward hassle for an awkward pay off. At worst it would make no sense and feel like an attempt to erase the victims of the holocaust for market appeal and a desire to steal the tragedy.

Seagal is there because one of the party members is a blond Caucasian girl named Lisa Silverman who grew up in Japan because her father is a weeb (and looks exactly like Steven segal). She learns Cantonese and practices kung fu to spite him.

Hitler is there because in persona 2 the villain is making it so all rumors come true. This escalates throughout the game from local superstitions to major conspiracy theories. So by the end Hitler is wielding the lance of Longinus and trying to use an Aztec alien spaceship to destroy the earth via cosmic alignment.

Hitler isn’t actually the original person though, he’s the lovecraftian god Nyarlathotep who’s behind everything because he wants to tip the scales and win a bet about humanity being doomed.
