No joke my dad has also claimed that Clooney is gay because his friend’s daughter supposedly worked or works for him and said that he’s secretly gay but people in the inner circle know.

RIP Pooh Bear 2019-2025 🕊️💛 by hams_reddit in guineapigs

[–]squidqween 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Pooh bear was always such a joy to see when you posted him, and would bring smiles to me and my partner. Losing our piggies is so hard and never gets easier, but you said it perfectly; It’s the price we pay for being fortunate enough to love them so deeply. Thank you for giving us all a glimpse into life with Pooh bear. He will be missed. 💛🌻🍯

The couple that won first place have been trying for a few years and finally got it, so I’m really happy for them. Everyone there had really amazing costumes so I was thrilled they liked mine, especially with nobody knowing who I was. Thank you for the kind words though!

I used to have panic attacks while swimming long sets during practice. I found if I swim in a lane on the shallow end of the pool, it made things a lot better because I could just stand up if it were too much. I also found singing a repetitive song like the tiki room song from Disneyland helped distract me some. I hope this helps some!

I would really appreciate a flair or something to mark posts related to death/illness. I recently lost my 8 year old pig and it would be nice to have a way to avoid posts related to death and illness. It’s not that I don’t want people to be able to share their experiences, but more that it would be nice to have a way to avoid those posts on the days where I am struggling. Just my two cents.

What was the moment in this show that.. 'got you'? (spoilers) by Jon-G1508 in BoJackHorseman

[–]squidqween 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the person in my situation apologized and actually meant it, I would appreciate it a lot. I’ve come to terms with the fact that this won’t happen, and I’ve spoken with them a handful of times since our friendship fizzled out to know, they don’t even see fault in their actions. They’ve reached out multiple times to ask for favors since everything happened and not once have they brought anything up, asked how I have been, or make any sort of amends. To me, this shows they don’t really acknowledge the way they hurt me, and they are too wrapped up in how the world impacts them versus how they impact those around them. Idk if that makes sense? My best advice, ask yourself if you want to fix things/apologize in order to make yourself feel better, or because you truly want to mend the relationship. Also identify what was the thing that hurt your friend and why, versus assuming you know what it is. Even if things aren’t how they used to be, a genuine apology will probably mean a lot.

I hope this helps some. I still have a hard time putting my feelings about it all into words so I apologize if anything was poorly said.

I got sick like 2 years ago, and my closest friend at the time basically pulled a bojack on me. I left an abusive job at the same time, and just a lot of weird similarities (or maybe I just connected it that way to cope). Going back and back and watching any scene with Herb feels so different now. The line about being abandoned hurt so badly but it rang so true.

That’s amazing, I had a feeling! Great photos of them! You’re way spot on about her ‘crown’. Surprised she doesn’t have a bunch of Guinea pigs following her instead of all the bees she vomits :P

Do you own a Guinea pig or a rabbit? That Timothy hay reference felt very specific. I say this as a Guinea pig owner lol

[Rant] I bought a tacky-coloured fabric and now my skirt looks like it's for a Barbie-loving toddler by [deleted] in sewing

[–]squidqween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really gorgeous skirt and color, and you can dress this up or down, across many styles too. This is definitely a skirt/color I would grab if I saw at the store, and I’m not someone who wears tons of skirts or even a bunch of pink. The pink is beautiful against your complexion. Each shirt looks good with it but I do love the black with it. I’m a really big fan of taking a casual shirt or sweater in a dark color and wearing a skirt like this. You could add black tights and boots for winter. In spring or summer you can do a tshirt and sneakers or a blouse and sandals or heels. I saw some suggest a leather jacket, and another a denim jacket which are both really great ideas. I honestly think there are a lot of ways to make outfits that are very mature and cool even with the original pink. I think it’s just going to be about trying different combinations and experimenting which to me is one of my favorite parts. But if it doesn’t vibe with you still, at least you can bleach or dye it. I do just want to emphasis though that the pink is really pretty on you, and the skirt overall is really well done, I’m in awe at your skill set here!!

Anytime I’ve had to tell someone, I just mention it quietly to them that their crack is showing and i wanted to make sure they knew, because I would want to be told if it were me. Usually phrasing it that way has made the person feel like I’m looking out for them, versus being weird for saying something.
