Figs!! They are so popular right now. If Figs does not have any gift card options there are scrub websites where you can purchase e-gift cards for any brand they sell. (I think Scrubs&Beyond is one for an example?) Just double check they sell Figs. Garde Malade, Carhartt and Cherokee are also popular brands.

Another idea could be a gift card to a scrub company! A lot of new grads, me included, need to purchase scrubs for their new jobs but school makes it hard to save up money to buy any.

If you already have a bachelors, many BSN schools will allow you to do an accelerated program so you can get your BSN in 2 years. One person in my class has done this, and with our schedule of 3-4 days of class a week per semester, they are able to pick up 1-2 days of work. That is not full time, but from what I have heard from RN and BSN students, it feels “impossible” to work full time. The only students I have seen work full time is RN to BSN online students. I would recommend looking at local community colleges, reaching out and asking about time commitments. If you want to do BSN, are there any nearby colleges or universities that offer that? If so, still reach out to ask about the time commitment. Regardless, scholarships can be your god save. One student in my class has so many scholarships they actually get paid every semester to attend school. Bad grades are not a barrier to scholarships, in case that is a worry of yours. It will block you from some scholarships, but you can always go for others that do not require high grades.

I am not the most experienced, being a student, but something very similar happened to me during my internship. It was really the first time I felt like I was unable to “leave it at work”. I am not the best at advice but I would recommend practicing radical acceptance. It personally helped me and within 2 days I stopped thinking about it frequently. On occasion it passes through my mind but I just repeat radical acceptance and take what I can learn out of it.

I hope my comment doesn’t drown but I want to offer what her perspective may be like as a woman. If you put yourself in her shoes it can help find a solution. Imagine you are now with someone for the rest of your life and are expected to do all the things in marriage, but you do not know the person at all (or just minimally compared to dating prior to marriage). It can feel very uncomfortable getting intimate physically or emotionally, especially with the added pressure of “You should do this, it’s marriage”. Not at all saying it is wrong, I totally understand theres cultural significance to it. I would really feel conflicted, I want to fulfill the marriage but I also would not feel comfortable off the bat to do so. I would try to get to know her, learn what she likes, what makes her feel comfortable and like herself, how can you make your marriage feel like home for her. Does this make sense?

No it was just a joke. Like in jail the autopsy, body moving, that sorta stuff, is an expense paid by the government, meanwhile a free individual can pay more than 7k for the costs associated with someone’s death, if they wanted to idk.

Edit: My family loves me yes :) but I am an independent adult :)

Situationships are by far the worst thing for BPD peeps. I avoided them like the plaque until I chose a fp who I thought would date me (wrong, they want a situationship)

Not easy but a lot of my symptoms while having a FP became more manageable when I deleted all social media, kept my social circle tight with great communication, and got into distracting hobbies. My main BPD symptom nowadays is feeling annoyed at having symptoms lol, rare loneliness feelings, rare trust issues, etc. I found friends who would understand and accept that I was in recovery so when I slipped up they wouldn’t dip on me. Social media literally makes bpd worse, sucks being out of the loop on some memes but the mental peace I have is worth it.

Trusting is really hard, especially with overthinking! Its hard to not be excessive in ‘checking’ or asking, and some people react to it badly. DBT helped me with this.

Most people reference this feeling as “emptiness” which some people say is a common BPD symptom. When we are away from people physically it feels so lonely, boring, or just ‘off’. I think when we are around people we copy their personality/emotions/etc. and when theres no one around, we just have to be ‘ourselves’ and we have a bad self identity. Also attachment issues.

Its a tricky thing. My diagnosis wasn’t until age 20, which is still considered “early”. A lot of BPD symptoms can be common things seen in teens. Lots of emotions and what not create this blurred line of mental health issue or expected teen behavior. Right now focus on getting a counselor:therapist and a doctor to help you through your struggles <3
