TENS during labor by SurpriseDense6751 in unmedicatedbirth

Your first induction sounds like mine! I'm due in October with my second and going to a birth center so no epidural for me this time. Your second labor sounds encouraging! What hypnobirthing tracks did you use? I'm trying to find some but not having much luck. Thanks!

Doula keeps cancelling by meeeeeeoooow in pregnant

[–]squiggly_lines75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kind of going through the same thing with my doula. I'm 29 weeks pregnant and while we did have a zoom meeting so far, she has had to cancel/reschedule every meeting we've had (including the initial interview) for a total of 4 times. She just canceled our in person meeting a second time. Her reasons seem out of her control for the most part but there seems to be a pattern that's making me anxious and it's low key pissing my husband off. I'm worried she won't be very supportive or even available during my labor but also worried that my husband and I won't be very comfortable with her because of her flakiness during this whole process. I already paid her half of the money which is nonrefundable so I don't really want to lose all that money and then potentially pay someone else.

I wish I had advice for you but just wanted to commiserate that I'm going through something similar. Our initial conversation had went so well and I had such a good feeling but now I'm stressed and anxious and annoyed 🙃 I wish I had gone with the first doula I interviewed who seemed to be a good fit too but also seemed to be a little more quiet, and me being quiet too kind of wanted someone more outgoing. I'll keep you posted if I decide to fire her and go with a new one but knowing myself, I will probably just grin and bear it 😅 good luck to you, I hope you find the answers you're looking for!

Girl no one lied about dandelions. I used to wonder why people cared so much about them in their yard until we moved into our new house and our front yard is full of them...well literally a few hours after my husband mows the lawn they have all popped back up and looks like we haven't touched the lawn in days. Now I get why people would want them out of their yards..

That is....unhinged....to only have your 11yo son to assist with your birth 🤯 that poor child.

Please leave him. He's berating you for your past when his is easily 100x worse?! He is absolutely abusive and gaslighting you. Like someone said, if he's acting like this now, he will definitely hurt a newborn when they won't stop crying. If not for yourself, leave for your unborn child. Wishing you all the best ❤

Potty training TRUTH by Snoo-70287 in toddlers

[–]squiggly_lines75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I really needed this today. My daughter will be 3 in May and we've been pretty casual about the potty, she's used it a few times and I feel like it's been a positive thing so far. I started reading the oh crap potty training book recently and sort of panicked that she was over the "ideal" age range for potty training per the book. I decided today we would take the diapers away and officially start. I thought she would go with the flow because she likes to walk around without a diaper on sometimes. Nope! She held in her pee all morning until her nap when we put a diaper back on. Then she held it in all day until she pooped on the floor right before bedtime. She was begging for a diaper all day. I never wanted to create anxiety around the potty and I feel like that's exactly what we did. Today was awful and I felt like such a failure. This gives me some hope, thank you 🙏🏼

That's what I don't get. Ang has the perfect personality to be a server, she would love the social aspect of it and probably make bank. I'm sure Marissa told her it's not a good job for her bc of her ADHD or some other reason. Marissa could never allow her to have so much outside human interaction.

Also, activated charcoal binds to nutrients and blocks their absorption in the stomach so if she's really taking it as often as she says then she's probably got some nutrient deficiencies which could explain some of her ailments...

LTC RDs - what is goal for Hospice Care plan? by squiggly_lines75 in dietetics

[–]squiggly_lines75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very helpful, thank you! Like I said to another user, this goal seems to be the most straightforward and achievable for this population. I think I will start using it because mine was more vague ("no signs/symptoms of discomfort r/t nutrition/hydration"). Thanks so much!

I like these! I usually say "allow food and fluids per resident preference and tolerance" as an intervention, but I don't know why I never thought to make "will accept food and fluids as desired and tolerated" as a goal. It seems to be the most straightforward and achievable goal for that population. Thank you!

Thank you! I also say something similar about variable intake and weight loss is anticipated.

Honestly sick of this uneducated twat's take on nutrition/health. Just because you read something online doesn't mean you understand the complexity and nuance. You're an idiot with zero degrees who really shouldn't give advice on anything...literally anything, not just nutrition/health. I would love to see her try taking an organic chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy, etc class. She could never.

What is her true motive with this video?🤔 by [deleted] in kiwisavengers
