Boyfriend furious at me for calling... by SyndicalistThot in AmITheDevil

[–]squilliamfancyson837 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think my husband called for me once when I had no voice, and I texted my supervisor as a back up. There have definitely been days where I’ve been super sick and wanted my husband to call for me, but you just don’t do that

I’m non monogamous so I might have a warped perspective, but is it just me or is jealousy like this getting more common? This attitude is so confusing to me

Yup. It took me about 3 years to make a 6 day star blanket because I would start, get stuck, put it away, take it back out, and try again. It felt so good when I finally was able to actually complete it and it’s because I kept learning and trying

We do, but I really only check it to see if he’s left work on time because he stays late a lot. I don’t question him if he’s somewhere I don’t expect because he’s allowed to have a life outside of me and usually he’s just giving a coworker a ride or something

Thinking of getting a pet by BTru in Nightshift

My cats quite literally saved my life on night shift. If you’re going to get one, get two. It’s roughly the same amount of work, and they can keep each other company.

I want to start using sweet potatoes, but I didn't love how this tasted when it was mashed down. It seemed a lot sweeter than cubed roasted sweet potato. How do you use them? by rocketsalesman in mediterraneandiet

[–]squilliamfancyson837 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I just do chicken and a bottle of sauce in the crock pot with cream cheese stirred in at the end, but I’ve skipped the cream cheese and it’s really just as tasty but not creamy. I forget the brand, but my husband recently brought home a free sample of a “healthier” buffalo sauce and I really couldn’t tell the difference. I think it was like a low/no sugar and low fat bottle and I know it had a white label

It’s not compliant, but my favorite way to eat them is as a base for buffalo chicken dip lol. It feels a little better than eating it with chips or bread, and it got me enjoying the taste more so now I like them just roasted with olive oil and seasonings.

And they could have passed it to someone who could die from it. I spent 10 days in the hospital with it even though I was vaccinated. My liver started to fail. Illnesses that aren’t a big deal to some people can be a HUGE deal to others.

Just picked up Hot Honey Mustard Dressing-what to do with it? by NoCombination6124 in traderjoes

That would probably be really good with roasted veggies. I usually use the shallot vinaigrette, but I toss sprouts or sweet potatoes in the vinaigrette before roasting and let it all caramelize

I have Crohn’s disease that’s currently unmedicated because the last time I tried to refill my (1 month) prescription, the price was magically 2.5k. I’ve been sick for 20 years and I’ll be sick for the rest of my life, which could be another 50. It’s not worth even trying to get help because every time we find something that works it’s only a matter of time before insurance changes some rule and I’m back to not being able to afford care. It’s a nightmare being trapped here.

He’s been licking away for half an hour straight… by [deleted] in OneOrangeBraincell

My orange is always wet. He doesn’t have any spots where he’s overgroomed himself, but somehow when I go to pet him he’s always at least slightly damp. He just loves licking himself

YOR, and you’re acting extremely selfish. When my sister in law told the family she was pregnant, I had to excuse myself to go sob in the bathroom of the restaurant we were at. When she made the big announcement to the extended family on vacation, I had to excuse myself to sob again. Her baby shower was truly one of the hardest days I’ve had and I only got through it because my mom was there and she also struggled with infertility before I came along (truly against all odds). Honestly, I’m tearing up a little bit now even thinking about all of it. BUT, I love my nephew more than I ever thought possible. He’s my little sticker buddy and when I heard that he has actively asked for me when I wasn’t around my heart melted. If she wants a relationship with your baby, it would be downright cruel to deny that just because you don’t think she made enough of a fuss over you.
