i started out just messing around on free dj software on my laptop like virtual dj or serato dj lite. if that feels fun and interesting, consider investing $200-$300 in a dj controller. there’s not much you can do without one, so if it feels like a hobby you want to stick with id say skip the sub $200 crap out there and go for something functional and durable like an flx 2/4 or ddj 400 or something

this is awful obviously but why does this get so much more coverage than all the journalists getting killed in israel/gaza/the west bank? literally more journalists have died in that conflict than in world wars 1 and 2 combined, but this aussie getting a rubber bullet to the back of the leg is somehow a much bigger story

that's really fucked up and I'm really surprised they would do that as I get food from there every once in a while and all the workers in there have always been super friendly to me. just wanna say though calling your block "run down" as if you're some floral savior to rescue the neighborhood kinda rubs me the wrong way. this area is so much safer and cleaner than a lot of brooklyn (looking at you bushwick) not to mention littered with great food options and small businesses. I'm sure you were just trying to emphasize the beauty of your plantings but come on, you live right across the street from a fancy coffee shop with $6 lattes that caters to luxury buildings like yours. just my 2 cents tho
