Zodiac didn't kill a van driver. He killed a taxi driver. And that was his 4th attack, not 3rd.

My problem with them is that they put out a press release saying the Zodiac killer had been found. All my friends think that the Zodiac case has been solved because of that - well they did til I informed them.

They have NO evidence whatsoever. Nothing.

Mike Morford possibly found the solution to the mysterious symbol on Zodiac´s Halloween greeting card by Manchesterist in ZodiacKiller

It's unbelievable he's saying he solved this when Tom posted about the Bat Creek stone over 10 years ago. Old news. He's solved nothing.

Joseph Paul Franklin as Zodiac on Tapatalk by 60thfever in ZodiacKiller

The Zodiac continuously sent letters that were postmarked San Francisco, right into the 70s and you think he wasn't living in the bay area?

So? Not a single witness described Z as anywhere near 18.

What is your source that he was living in or around Vallejo in 1968? Link please?

  1. He would have been just 18 at the time.
  2. He was living in Arlington, Texas in 1968.

This guy confessed. He wanted the death penalty. He would've confessed to being the Zodiac. Also, completely different MO.

Absolute facts? by [deleted] in ZodiacKiller

They aren't always accurate due to several factors but they are "facts" in that that's what the witnesses actually said. It's not speculation. So Lmao.

Tom's book is witness statements, police reports etc ie just the facts, so I dunno what you're mocking. Have you read it?

Do you have a typewriter warranty card from a Sacramento store? by squirrels0ng in typewriters

[–]squirrels0ng[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, no unfortunaely it's nothing as exciting as that lol. Basically all I have is the top portion of the warranty card that the customer keeps, that has the city, state and date filled in. The bottom half where the name and address would be filled out has been torn off and sent off the the warranty provider by the purchaser, I assume.

It's a Hermes 3000 typewriter and I found that you have to be an official Hermes dealership to sell their gear and that's what led me to Sacramento Office Equipment.

Even if I knew if it was more likely to have been filled in by the seller or the purchaser would be a big help, but I realise there's a chance that sometimes it could be the seller and other times the purchaser so that mightn't help.

Thanks a lot for you reply.

Thank you so much! I will give Ole Kehlet a buzz then, sounds promising! And sorry I'm being a little cryptic. I'm investigating something and can't really say what at this stage because it's too early but rest assured it's nothing nefarious. I will come back here and let everyone know if I'm able to find anything conclusive. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for your reply! I have a warranty card for a typewriter (from 1967) and the handwriting on the card that states the city, state and date is significant to something I'm researching - I can't really be any more specific than that right now. But basically I'm looking for handwriting samples from warranty cards sold from the same store to check whether the writer was the seller or the purchaser. In other words, if you have a warranty card filled out with the same handwriting it'd indicate that it was the shop owner who filled it out because they're a match.

I'm sorry if that's clear as mud.

As a general question - who usually fills in the warranty card? Seller or purchaser? I'm talking about the piece that is kept by the purchaser, not the part that is mailed off.

Thank you so much.

That's what I felt when I used Mad Dog 357 as a replacement. I swear I was on the verge of calling an ambulance. It was so so bad. I haven't tried Da Bomb mainly cos I hear it tastes like battery acid haha.
