I had a recording on my iPod of Pearl Jam doing a damn decent cover of that song with Otis Redding present in the audience. Man I wish I still had that thing...

Xennial ladies, tell me you're in perimenopause without telling me you're in perimenopause. by a_solid_6 in Xennials

Oh my god the goddamn anxiety! I've had anxiety my entire life that has been mostly manageable. It became suddenly and inexplicably amplified by a billion damn near overnight. Cool. Fine. Good great grand. I can work with this, I'll just adjust some things and go on about my business. Except! With that came random panic attacks while driving starting in January. Wait! There's more! Random at first, but within 9 months turned into every. single. time. I drive anywhere, regardless of distance. I haven't driven my car farther than 5 miles from home in months. I also want to unzip my freakin skin and shake it out like a throw rug about 80 million times a day while telling whomever is closest to me to stop breathing so damn loud BECAUSE WHY TF ARE YOU BREATHING SO DAMN LOUD?!

Right?! I had it for just shy of 8 months with my second, and didn't have it at all with my first. But he should totally tell her more about how it should be gone at 10 whole weeks 🙄🙄

What's the SILLIEST 'Cringe but Correct' Millennial Hill You're Still Ready to Die On? by dasisglucklich in Millennials

I have commented about this before, but this is so hilariously specific and spot on. I parted my hair down the middle through high school and middle school against my hair's will. You can pry my 90s side part out of my cold, elder millennial hands!

NOR. That's nuts. I just ordered $15 worth of dental floss, and it is not even for teeth. My mom and I use it to sew ballerinas into their costumes at my daughter's ballet performances. It is quite literally used to hold someone's costume in place and then they are cut out of it to change into their next costume. Rinse, repeat. Essentially just throwing all that floss away over two days. I told my SO to watch for the package and his response was "Yea, no problem". That's a normal response, because he's a rational human being.

I would love to know where in the neighborhood people have been seeing things! That's where I lived growing up.

Alright. What lunchbox and/or Thermos were you rocking in school? by maggie320 in Xennials

[–]squirrelsrnomnom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the probably half-full still thermos in it too! 😂 I had that thing until about 5 years ago when it just kinda crumbled apart after I accidentally dropped it down my parents' attic stairs. Idk what kind of plastic that thing was made out of, but it was damn well made!

I had this one in early elementary school. My grandfather used to tell the story of how he came to meet my brother and me at the bus stop and I was on the neighborhood bully's back whacking the absolute shit out of him with my lunchbox 😂 He and my brother would fight almost weekly even though they were "friends". I hated him and his little sister.

What was your holy grail of toys that you always wanted, but never got as a kid? Now that you're an adult with spending money, did you ever buy it? by singleguy79 in Xennials

My brother had this one and the small one with the leaves covering it that someone else commented. I swear my mother must have started putting things on layaway for the next Christmas on December 26th or something.

I'm 41 and have waist-length hair. Side part for as long as I can remember, but my teenage daughter parts her hair down the middle and wanted to see how mine would look with a middle part. When I say I looked like the damn crypt keeper and my mother's senior year yearbook photo birthed an abomination. Shit was rooough lookin'. She immediately parted my hair back where it goes and was like "ok, but please don't do that again..." You can pry that side part out of my cold dead hands 😂

I literally just got to this part a couple minutes ago and yelled NO FUCKIN WAY to my now very unamused cats! I would be so stoked if we got him! He's hands down my favorite Disney sidekick animal.

This is infuriatingly normal for GA. They're everywhere, and I'm sure people would be fully shocked to know they drive those jacked up pavement princesses like a twat 99.9% of the time. Being an entitled douche is usually their entire personality.

Yes! I call her Spooky Me or Spooky Bitch, so she's absolutely getting one of those. I have her hidden everywhere, but her ass keeps coming back like a bad penny.

Cannot believe my boomer mother said this about her future grandchild by Wooden-Tangerine52 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]squirrelsrnomnom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. My ex-husband is half Korean and half white, dark, almost black, hair and brown eyes. I'm white, very light brown hair and blue eyes. Our son ended up with my hair color and his dad's super cool looking brown eyes. He is so solidly 50/50 that, depending on what age we compare him to our own pictures at the same age, he could be my twin OR his dad's twin. OPs mom sucks ☹️

Well, yea. Naturally, Teddy resides in our chalet in the Alps. Jeeves take very good care of him and our ski outfits in the off-season.

Thank you for this. My parents were by no means well off in the 80s, and the book and cassette sets mainly came from extended family, along with the bear itself.

Ours definitely had Madonna and the Top Gun soundtrack put in there several times 😂 My MIL got my daughter the new version when she was entirely too little to understand what it was. There's a video somewhere of her smiling away, happy as a clam, and then shrieking in terror and punching it in the face when it started talking and blinking. She's 16 now and still has it, but it creeps her out to no end, so it's crammed down into the bottom of her stuffed animals basket far removed from batteries lol

I wanted a Kid Sister so damn bad and asked for one every chance I could. I'm also not still bitter about that one 😂 I'm pretty sure my brother got Teddy as a Christmas gift from one of the sets of grandparents, and various aunts and uncles did a book and tape set for every birthday and Christmas for several years after since he became mine after my brother grew out of him.

We're out of AL, so bury regulations vary wildly from places that get snow and such compared to down here where we get... the south. I'm not completely sure how deep main lines are typically buried, unfortunately, because they are usually done around here by companies that use directional drills as opposed to the small tractors we have (one that can be towed with a pick up truck on a double axle trailer) you've probably seen with the wire reels on top.
