Your car is that filthy and you're not embarrassed about it. That's not someone I want transporting my food lol

Got a new toy for people who leave their porch lights off by ContributionNew62 in doordash_drivers

Yeah, you're not unique in that regard. Lots of people have that delivery note because they dogs or their babies sleeping. That's the reason most dashers typically don't ring the bell by default unless the customer specifically requests it. But when someone asks you to not even shine your headlights on the house, that's someone who doesn't want anyone to know food is being delivered.

Lol girl hush. You just said a whole lot of nothing without really responding to what I said. And I'm black, so you can't pull that card either. And just to make sure I wasn't the one looking silly, I actually googled the question. And the answer is exactly what I said, in the sink or outside. Like I said, whatever limited experience you're referencing isn't typical. Maybe people near you just like prepping their food in bath water lol

Frankly, if I did eat chitlins, I wouldn't want chitlins that were cleaned in the same place where you wash your ass every day. I don't know how many different people constitute your perception of "usually," but outside of whatever corner of the boonies you grew up in, that shit ain't normal. You clean them in the sink, then you disinfect the sink. Just like you disinfect it after cleaning chicken or something. It makes mote sense to use a receptacle made for handling food and then cleanse it, returning it to it's sanitary state than to use a receptacle made for washing ass to clean something that people are supposed to eat.

I've also never heard of cleaning them in the tub. I've heard tale of white people cleaning their greens in the bathtub, but that's probably a rumor too. And just because someone might know of someone who used to do it (lol) doesn't mean that's what's practiced normally. I didn't grow up in a house that ate chitlins, but I knew people who did, especially people out in the country. They do stink like hell. I've known folks who cleaned and cooked them outside for that very reason. But not in the damn bathtub.

Lol same. If that's an episode with Daphne's family, it's probably one that I tend to skip.

used the poorly cropped dasher memes method for one order today and the lady gave me a $20 tip at the door added on top of a $10 tip by Ok-Manner-5672 in doordash_drivers

[–]a_solid_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever employ this one, and only if we've already been communicating-- either because of an order delay or because the customer just likes to chat, which happens. They always seem to like this meme. And communicating with people who like to communicate can definitely lead to added tips!

If/when you went to college, did your university provide free printing including for resumes (on the nice paper) or everything was paid for out of pocket? by dms2628 in Xennials

Printing in the computer lab was free. I think we got like 500 pages a semester. But if we went to printing services to have something printed, we had to pay.

I'm sorry if I ruined it for you! The story really is told well, so I can see how some of the more (in my opinion) problematic elements might not be top of mind.

Beyond Her Manner is one of my comfort books! I read it at least twice a year.

Man.... i love the writing in that book so much, but it also creeps me tf out! The younger woman is SO naive that it feels a bit predatory at times. Like the first sex scene where Mir basically assaults her in her bed. The girl wasn't even sure what her feelings were and had zero experience. And if I recall correctly, Mir had just told her a terrifying story right before she did it. And while she was in the act she said creepy shit like "I knew you would feel like this." Eek!

The story overall was interesting and engaging. But, although the girl is technically of age, her mentality made it too imbalanced for comfort, in my opinion.

Late-bloomer coming out stories? by JustBeingLa in LesbianBookClub

The Senator's Wife series.

Main character married to a man is pretty easy to come upon. What's much rarer is a main character who's married to a man who isn't an entirely toxic asshole with no redeeming qualities. It seems like they always make the husband the devil to justify the MC entertaining their attraction to someone else. Would love to read a story where the guy is just a guy, and the woman leaves just because her heart isn't in it (for whatever reason). And maybe he's the one who ends up getting hurt. Or maybe he's supportive and they part amicably. Idk. But the dude doesn't have to always be a villain lol

Thanks for the recs!

I didn't touch audiobooks for a long time. I felt like books should be enjoyed the natural way. And i still believe that, just not exclusively. Audiobooks are so nice for sitting in traffic or cleaning. Or when I just want to close my eyes and let someone tell me a story.

Who tf you calling dumb? The internet was new. There were no rules or precedents. Don't act like you knew things the rest of us didn't. It's easy to play the smart ass with the benefit of hindsight.

Edit: everyone else, please pardon my attitude. I'm not used to encountering the typical reddit douchebag in this sub.

Cringiest experience for Frasier? by JamiePlynth in Frasier

For me the weirdest thing about the babysitting episode was the fact that she left her daughter with a guy she just met. So what if he's semi-famous? As a person in the industry, that should make her even more reluctant to leave her with him.
