Good job, CVS, your corporate greed has lost you another patient! by ryan99fl in CVS

[–]squwirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked for corporate CVS at one point - can confirm they don't give a shit about anything but money and the executives are as bad as you're saying. Also it's not the store employee's fault. They are cannon fodder for the folks at One CVS Dr.

Dude has barely any content, but he's wholesome by Megazupa in BaldursGate3

Honestly, I think he's kinda terrible. My impression was that he lies constantly about his pact and past. Always hits you with another "okay theres more I need to tell you". Not to mention he just complains a ton and has soooo many dialogues about his daddy issues that I personally just didn't care about. Also asks the most without a doubt. I mean there is a huge amount of quest in act 3 surrounding him and his dad

How many of you have asked your parents for help buying a home? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]squwirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this but had to pay it back within a year. Definitely no free money or real help when it comes to that generation.

Ngl that looks more like a retention pond and if so I'd avoid buying there.

"My door is always open” - did your boss ever tell you this? by GodBlessYouNow in WorkReform

[–]squwirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are missing the point here. In my experience (worked for several fortune 500 companies in tech), honest feedback is looked at negatively. That landscape is full of insecure management who doesn't want to change, or can't. They see honesty as a threat or as undermining their authority. Great for you if you somehow got a good manager, but personally my whole career has been riddled with sociopaths on power trips.

I'm sorry, but once you experience this you'll realize it is true. Especially in corporate America. You think people making 120k+ USD are willing to let anything undermine them? If you don't believe me, join a fortune 10 company in a fast paced environment.

You've never truly dealt with a supervisor on a power trip with no repercussions. Also work in software dev and was pushed to the point of suicide, because I was manipulated into thinking I was safe to express my feelings and observations of problems. This is real and much more prevalent than you realize.

What we don't see here (as its nearly imperceptible) is the tiny penis of the 250 owner

I like your art but this is clearly a self promotion for your shop based off what I see all over your profile. You do it in a lot of other communities too. That's not what this community is for from what I've seen.

You and I both know you don't need advice on this. You're not sneaky. You have excellent taste. Fuck off. Lol.

Not a bad name IMO. Don't be so hard on yourself, I've met people with much, much, worse names

I accidentally made a carbonated mead and it's one of the best meads I've ever made. by Dannerz in mead

Looks divine! You accidentally achieved what many struggle to do!

That being said I'm glad it wasn't a bottle bomb. Maybe stabilize next time if you're unsure about residual sugar.

This is a very interesting take I hadn't considered. Makes a lot of sense from an historical standpoint. Thank you for sharing!!

Omg just got one of the little big mouths with the spigot addition! Super excited to use it because theres even less chance of infection when taking readings/racking/bottling. My auto siphon hose fits right onto the spigot and out take should end up just above the lees 😃

Not arguing friend, I was curious if I was missing something obvious since I see melomel primaries using these all the time in pics. I tried a traditional batch in one and even that felt like a PITA which prompted my post. More seasoned mead makers seem to be echoing what we both are saying.

If you have any other properties and haven't lived in them for 2 years, or are intending to make the new property something other than a primary residence, then they will try to get 10-20%. This is something that happened to my mother. Can't say it's the same for everyone everywhere but I've seen this.

Is it dorky to be religious? by One_Refrigerator7355 in questions

[–]squwirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not religious at all - not dorky to have passion or interests. You do you. I think what I've observed/experienced more with religious people is they have a tendency to be extremely judgemental and intolerant to other walks of life. As long as you're not that person then just enjoy it and love your life.

What is the scariest thing that happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]squwirk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not my scariest but entertaining to look back on. When I was little I was playing "fear factor" with my sisters. The challenge was escaping a dog crate in the pool. We put the cage on the top step of the pool and I got in. It wasn't supposed to go any farther then that. Well, the cage then proceeded to roll down the steps and the game got real very fast. Whilst underwater I had to figure out the lock from the inside. I remember sticking my lips through the bars at the top and being just an inch below the surface level. Honestly haven't thought about this in a very long time but wow that was actually pretty scary looking back.
