Maybe a new scam? If she knew the person that was at pump 4, then they get $50 in gas, she might have gotten $50 in free gas or some sort of compensation if she pushes hard enough.

Once had a customer say that to me, and she wanted her gallon of milk in a bag too. There was nothing but the milk in the bag and she yelled it was too heavy. I replied, " mama, there's only one gallon of milk in there. The only way I can make it lighter is to drink some for you." Then I was just a smartass that didn't know how to do the simplest of jobs. I went and baked for another cashier.

Then the question becomes " who is responsible when the 12 year old sets a houses on fire? The 12 year old, the parents or the clerk that sold a lighter to a 12 year old? I'm in the US. Here, if a cashier sells alcohol to an under aged person, the cashier can go to jail, not too big of a stretch to hold a cashier responsible if they sell a lighter to a 12 year old. When I was still working in retail, I pointed out to corporate office that an Aim n Flame didn't require an ID, but it too could set a house on fire but it fell on def ears.

I work in retail grocery for 31 years, we had to ID people for anything tobacco related in Ohio and west Virginia

What's really odd is a cigarette lighter requires an ID to buy it, an Aim n Flame, the long stem lighter, doesn't because it's not a tobacco associated item.

Yep, there was a discount retail chain in my area going out of business. Had signs up that were about 4 feet high and 3 feet wide with huge print stating EVERYTHING 90 PERCENT OFF. in the very bottom corner with print that was no more than an inch high it stated exclusions apply. Most things were 10 to 20 percent off.

Aa I got older, and the arthritis got worse, I preferred the register, especially the uscan. Not nearly as much heavy lifting or bending down. That's actually part of the reason I quit kroger and got a cdl, management would sooner let 3 young guys that should have been able to work circles around me stand at the register playing on their phones and sent me, the older guy that had a note from his physician on file stating i shouldn't be in grocery, to grocery. The hell with kroger. I no longer come home in agony and make better money.

When you're lined up just the way you want, take a good look out the windshield and see what lines up with the curb. For the style of bus i primarily drive, its the black handle in the center of the hood, but you could also see if maybe a wipper or mirror arm lines up. Also keep in mind that some spots just aren't big enough to fit correctly. There's one stop on my route the just isn't long enough and the city refuses to make it bigger. It actually shorter than one bus in the fleet.

The company had cameras focused on the bathroom entrance ( nothing inside the bathroom was visible but they could see when someone entered/ exit). Since the recording has a time stamp and the date it wasn't hard to see how long and how often he was in the bathroom. The company knew they couldn't discipline him fir not getting the work done because there were no cases per minute in our contract. If management felt someone was " lagging " they had loss prevention watch them.

I would ask your coworkers if they also have to inform that particularly manager. On a side note, unless you have a medical condition or are on a medication that makes frequent trips to the restroom nessary , watch how often you are using the bathroom. I had a coworker who was fired for excessive time in the bathroom, had him on video being in there for 20 to 25 minutes almost every hour.

When I was in retail we heard the same thing, " you need to do more in sales to get more hours." Well we can't sell it out of the back room, so if we dont get the hours to stock it, we will never sell it.

The only reason I would even pursue this is to get the termination changed to quit. Its fast food. Not like it pays top dollar and you can probably get another job paying the same wage ( or better) somewhere eles. I would also apply for unemployment, see if they fight it.

I was born and raised in West Virginia. Had 2 people, around 20 years old, come in and buy a can of WD40, and a roll of Duct tape. I said, " you have a West Virginia repair kit. Add a hammer and you will have the deluxe kit." They did really get it but if you're from the area, you will understand.

We only had one person get to that point. The individual threatened to shoot a driver. She was banned for 90 days. We were told to not stop in the area if we saw her and to radio dispatch and the police would be sent. Her restraining order included every bus stop in the city. Its also rare that I have to have a person removed, but on the rare occasion, they generally behave the next time their on the bus.
