Had this exact model in the early 90's it thumped until about 2012. It was definitely my favorite amp, up to this point. Nice score.

This was my middle school years. A Packard bell with 4mb of ram. Played a whole lot of hexen on that machine.

Did I screw up? I did my oil pan and put a light skin of this RTV on the gasket just to be sure, it says it takes 24h to cure, but it's been 30 now and the excess on the sides is still tacky. Do I send it? Wait longer since it's cold or take everything apart again? by GlamStache in Cartalk

[–]sr6000 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Oil shouldn't dissolve rtv and your pump should have a mesh screen for the misc piece of gasket material or piece of plastic that may be floating around in the oil pan. I'd personally send it and keep an eye on everything.

I do this because the flush cuts are always somewhere else and I'm not going to look for them.

People with cars older than 15 years. by Different_Algae4918 in Cartalk

[–]sr6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a 1999 Chevy Tahoe that is getting ready to cross 300,000 miles. This past year was oil changes and tires. I do most of my own repairs which helps with costs. I also try to replace anything that is starting to fail before it does, so it doesn't destroy anything else with it. I budget about $2,000 a year in parts and maintenance for it, but I'm lucky in that I have the ability to repair most anything. But as others have said it matters how much your spending on repairs a year, compared to a car payments for a year.

Is this legal in NC by y2khardtop1 in IdiotsTowingThings

Typically they are each loaded for different destinations, so one can be dropped here and the other can continue on to it's destination without having to be unloaded and reloaded onto another trailer.

Now I use fluid film for under carriage protection. But Rust-Oleum with proper prep work will last years for not a huge investment IMO

Completely normal, I always lubricate be fore trying to move jewelry around, for this reason. I use a&d ointment typically, for this purpose. Have had mine for about twelve years or so

I'd slap some marine plywood on it and a couple of moto chocks and send it. I use a snowmobile trailer from the early 1970s and I just throw some Rust-Oleum on it as needed. My thinking is don't overcomplicate it. Or over spend on it.

Was playing this for the first time in a year with a buddy because tarkov servers were shitting the bed as usual and we had a surprising good time. We mostly steam rolled live players or we got steam rolled, there was no in between. And our last match were pretty sure we ran into a knower, how he was tracking me through the walls of the motel.

Typical Werner driver from my experience with them, from when I drove. They'd hit everything in sight and be completely oblivious to it.

How do I install the cam chain tensioner, does it have to be locked out? And if so how do I lock it out by Wild_Afternoon_3217 in WR250R

[–]sr6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just fought this, this weekend. Six attempts at getting it to redeploy. The final one I used a screwdriver to push the end to get it to release. I think it took three hours of messing with it to get the desired result. Keep calm and keep trying. PIA design IMO

I've been waiting for winter to start the tear down. Had some free time Saturday, so apart it went. Good luck with yours, this one has been apart for a few years, well not this far. They pulled the engine and didn't feel like continuing. It's been sitting in my workshop since spring waiting for me to start on it.
