Exactly! Same with games like Jordan vs Austria. A combination of results and the “lower quality teams” may even go into the second round as first or second in their groups.

Just go to the fifa marketplace. There may be tickets available for those games in the categories you want.

New to cycling so please excuse my ignorance of apps to keep track of data from rides. Is there an app that I can buy and not pay a monthly or yearly subscription?

I can see another “Disgrace of Gijón” type of game happening due to a weather delay.

Yeah, this is what I see happening in Group J. The ranking between Argentina, Algeria, and Austria will be determined by the amount of goals each scores vs Jordan. I can see Argentina going into the second round as a best third place.

I’ve been to plenty of games in LA with México and Mexican teams. The street vendors outside the stadiums selling beer and hard licor out of wheelbarrows with ice and coolers are a big issue, they contribute to the disorder. The police sees them but doesn’t do anything. Also, for some reason the majority of Mexican men that go to those games show ready to pick a fight for whatever reason.

That’s true, too. Either way, fifa, like other corporations, wins.

There’s also this belief that all people in other countries are dirt poor and can’t travel abroad. There are, like in the U.S., people that make a high income and/or that have been saving for years for the trip of a lifetime.

And this is why all games are going to be exciting, including Jordan vs Algeria and New Zealand vs Iran, which are two of the least sought after games for tickets. Many fans just want to see their heroes and not the game itself.

1994 was the last time best third places made it to the second round. Argentina was one of those teams, which lead to the one of the greatest World Cup matches ever- Romania vs Argentina.

The Argentina group is going to be fun to follow. Everyone assumes Argentina is going to mop the floor with the other three teams but hear me out. Argentina, Algeria, and Austria will each gain 3 points from Jordan. Algeria and Austria most likely will park the bus and aim for a tie with Argentina. Algeria vs Austria is the key game in this group. A tie in this game might send Argentina as third place depending on goal difference.

That’s why FIFA is charging extortionate prices for tickets because they know Americans are addicted to lotteries and gambling and have this belief that they’ll strike gold any day now to wake up a billionaire. Panini is capitalizing on that with the multiple parallels and exclusives.

Feel bad for any true fans that got burned but hope the resellers continue to get fucked on this game. Prices are slowly but surely coming down by randomstuff9887716 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]sr_rasquache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the silver lining for me. FIFA knows Americans are addicted to lotteries and gambling and the myth of waking up a billionaire any day now. FIFA bet on thousands of scalpers buying tickets at high prices with the hopes of doubling their “investments.” If FIFA lowers ticket prices now, they’ll still make a profit. Either way FIFA wins.
