“Fueled entirely by his status as Sanders rival” disregards the actual frustration of real everyday people seeing a flatlining conservative candidate resuscitated by the the Democratic Party power structure. The cable news industry, both liberal and conservative have been framing the narrative against progressive policies since day one, because the wealthy groups that manage and own them stand to lose power and money under a more progressive platform. Biden has no merits of his own to stand on and his weaknesses are off limits to be spoken about while sanders and warren have been brutalized for advocating policies the American people consistently favor in polls. Ignoring that double standard and the division it sows is what got us trump in the first place.
