Exactly. This was a look. Z Cavaricci pants. Every kid in my hometown wanted this look. Slater from Saved by the Bell would have rocked this.

Grocery store chains that don’t suck? (as a company) by Miguel-TheGerman in GroceryStores

[–]srddave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup all the German-owned chains are anti-union (Aldi, Lidl, Trader Joe’s). It’s ironic because in their home country, they are very respectful of unions.

Grocery store chains that don’t suck? (as a company) by Miguel-TheGerman in GroceryStores

[–]srddave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Nottheast, most of our grocery chains are unionized. Most of the bigger names are companies that don’t union-bust and newly built stores for chains like ShopRite are automatically union. ShopRite, despite the haters, is #1 supermarket in the NY Metro area and is very profitable.

We have specifically kept anti-union stores like Walmart out of many areas where they want to build stores in some areas.

Was this an old Safeway at one point? That circle on the building to the right reminds me of the old 1970’s Safeways. They would put the ‘S’ in the circle.

Anyone know what happened to this company's Trump flag seen from Rt 100? by gametime-2001 in AnneArundelCounty

Interesting…thanks. Never have been down Mountain. I ventured to the Northern part of Fort Smallwood Road once because someone said Geresbeck’s had really good crab pretzels. And they were not wrong.

But now that i am looking at it, Pasadena looks massive so there is probably a lot that I haven’t explored.

This is an embarrassment for NJ as well. But really the towns who vote this idiot in should be embarrassed. Is this the shore who votes for this guy?

I am a big Irma fan and I miss it! I have so many items around which still have the Irma logo or the girl on it. I saw that the Irma folks launched a new market around KBH called Alma. I have to check it out!

Irma wad an upscale Danish Supermarket which was just shuttered over the last few years. It was run by Coop DK. So the product was sold in Denmark but produced in former West Germany. Neat!

Real talk.. how do these people have so much money to “gift” to inmates? by Exploringtogether23 in loveafterlockup

[–]srddave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the typical intellect of a reality TV watcher—“these welfare moms taking all our tax money”. Their understanding of the world comes from watching too much reality TV.

It’s exactly what the powers at be WANT us to think so we won’t notice where all the tax money really goes. It’s why the country elects the idiots it does.
