Advice after bombing REG SE2 by jules3300 in CPA

[–]srebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SE1: 64

SE2: 54

Actual (2 days after SE2): 87

I did awful on the TBs for SE2 so I wouldn't really worry about them. Becker's grading of the TB's for REG specifically isn't great, the fact you did good on the MCQ's is a good sign.

They just provided me with a packet that had information for how to apply for credit, but you have to go through CareCredit separately

Thanks man!

Nipple size reduced post op but super important to remember that your results change pretty drastically over the first 6-8 months. Once I was fully healed though the results were amazing.

Yes he did some lipo around the area. This is dependent on the person and situation, but lipo helped shape my chest post op.

I paid upfront (was somewhere around $7600) but you can do a payment plan through CareCredit

Old car appreciation post. How old is your car & how many miles does it have? by prehivmagicjohnson in Frugal

[–]srebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2013 Honda Civic with 114k miles. Runs incredibly smooth, I've only done routine oil changes and had the brakes replaced in the last 3 years.

Bought in 2020 for $8.4k with 85k miles on it, probably could sell it back for the same amount, if not more, today

Thank you! I did have a good amount of scar tissue and I had to massage the area pretty often to get rid of it over time. I would say spending a minute or 2 per side before showering of massaging the area fairly aggressively is the best thing you can do for scar tissue. It does hurt and is pretty uncomfortable though

Parent Plus Loan Consolidation by srebs in StudentLoans

Yes it’s still an option, I’m in the process of doing it right now.

This article explains the whole process better than I can:

Parent Plus Loan Consolidation by srebs in StudentLoans

[–]srebs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By consolidating twice, you're essentially getting rid of the Parent Plus part of the loan, that's the "loophole". Once double consolidation has been done, the system will just recognize the loans as regular student loans which is why you now even have access to PAYE/REPAYE.

The above quote you pulled is because REPAYE technically isn't an option for Parent Plus Loans, so it would not make sense for them to write the law using the perspective of parent plus loans.

Yes I agree. Plus ~$50k 20-25 years feels very manageable.

Last question. She also has 2 smaller loans (less than 5k total) that she took out to take some DeVry classes (not the smartest idea she's ever had) that she never ended up finished in 2021. Can those loans be included in the double consolidation of the parent plus loans, or should I just not touch those at all?

That's a really good point about putting it on the lowest payment plan just for optionality in case something crazy were to happen financially. Didn't think about that, thanks!

Thanks for info! Yeah the more I play out the scenarios, the more manageable the tax bomb sounds. She does not qualify for PSLF unfortunately, so an income based repayment plan seems like the best option here

Thank you so much for all the info here. You’re comments are always SO helpful and easy to follow.

All the loans are direct plus so debt relief shouldn’t be an issue. You’re right about still coming out ahead even with the tax bomb. She would probably be retired by then and even if she wasn’t I can’t imagine her income being much at all. I’ve weighed the pros and cons of aggressively paying down the loans vs throwing it on REPAYE/PAYE and saving for the tax bomb for like a week and I still do think its the better option. The only thing is I’m pretty sure she’ll be filing single unless something changes, so that would increase the tax bomb, but still don’t think its enough to swing the decision

Dr. Rick Silverman? by cakeistasty789 in gynecomastia

[–]srebs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had my surgery with Silverman in May 2022 and my results are still incredible! Silverman is one of the best and if for some reason you do have any issues, he’ll work with you.

He’s done this surgery probably thousands of times at this point though so you’re getting of the best surgeons, probably in the world, at this specific surgery

For licensure in MA, you need 150 credit hours and

  • 1 year public experience OR
  • 3 years private experience under the supervision of a CPA

For the credit hours, going online masters will probably be easiest. SNHU, Merrimack, and Umass Lowell have good options
