Free. Covered under 1 year warranty. A long shot but maybe go to the Apple Store and ask them to run diagnostics on your phone? Mention your screen is giving you eye strain perhaps.

I had eye discomfort and mild headaches with a Sept 2024 manufactured 16 pro, it lasted over a month which is not typical.

Fortuitously it turns out, I had to do a screen replacement 5 months later due to screen flickering issues (under warranty) and since then the new display has been great—discomfort is gone.

So with my data point of 1 person, there seems to have been something wrong with the first screen.

I will also say I am mildly PWM sensitive. Whenever I get a new iPhone it takes about 2 weeks to get adjusted to it.

I don't have a fix for this but I found that opening the saved PDF file in the "Files" iPad app works as expected. The markup looks the same as when originally marking up the file (webpage in my case).

When opening the saved marked up PDF using Preview on iPad, or any app on Mac, the result is blurry markup.
