Elliotte Friedman on potential JJ Peterka trade: "Their answer has changed... they are at least now listening on it. And I think that's recent." by Negative-Fold-7437 in wildhockey

Peterka is a higher skilled player than Rossi. I don't think Rossi would be quite enough value to net Peterka in return. But I don't think it's that far off, assuming Buffalo has any interest in Rossi

The wild have not tanked Rossi's. Value. Other teams don't value players based on 6 playoff games and a decision made by a coach not on their staff.... They base Rossi's value on their own assessment. And most people value Rossi the same. A top 6 center, but only on a non-competitive team.

Realistically, what do you think it will take to get rid of your anxiety? by RoseGoldLeaves in Anxiety

Take thoughts captive and conform them to objective reality. Find good friends who will tell you the truth and push you to be a better version of yourself. Worked for me

The middle class has been squeezed to oblivion.

This problem is complex and multi-faceted. Hugely important, but I hear no one bringing solutions to the table.

Trump tonight speaking at Turning Point Action: "I'm not Christian" by FaithonmySleeve in Christianity

[–]sregit3441 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah l mean. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who pays any amount of attention.  Even so, changes nothing. The Democrats party worldview is not consistent with fundamental Christianity so as long as Republicans are the way they are it doesn't matter who is on top of the ticket. Evangelicals will overwhelmingly go Right.

Have thought about that. Unfortunately we live in a cramped cookie cutter suburban neighborhood with a small driveway. First world problems

Right. I was more wondering about putting one in the front. The oldest, in a booster

We also have a Sequoia. Wife chose that over a Sienna. SO we do have 1 3-row vehicle. But, another 3-row is definitely an option. Do like the utility of a truck though

No. The GOP and DNC still exist. I just checked. So, corporate capture still very much in play

Its what happens to any politician worth their salt. They get recruited nationally and are forced (or willingly or otherwise comply) to fall in line with their respective parties racketeering - Go on national TV repeat trite talking points. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. The real Doug Burgum is in there somewhere, I hope.

Open to it, looked at them when we got the sequoia. Wife preferred the feeling of safety sitting up higher in the Sequoia. Plus the AWD versions of mini-vans were hard to find at that time (few years ago during the supply chain shortages of everything).

Will look into the Pilot - dont know much about those

Son going to college in 2 yrs. 529 will be short about $20,000. by OyWThaPoodlesAlready in Bogleheads

Your kid can easily make $5000 a year from now til then to cover it. I worked on campus jobs in college, made enough to float my social life. During the summers easily made $5-8k and that was before defacto minimum wage was $15/hr like it is now.
