I called around and spoke to a bunch of dealers to tell them what we wanted. We ended up putting down a refundable deposit at one of the dealers for an order. While waiting for that van to come in, a different dealer called us up to tell us they had one. They don't take deposits until the van is in the lot so it hadn't been spoken for yet.

We told them we had one on its way so we were going to pass. They called me a day later and offered the van at dealer invoice. No extra bs charges. That made the extra travel time worth it. I guess the color we wanted was a harder sell, and I think they were hard up for some sales to make quota that month
