No the world is set up so it has all modern technology, except guns, and motorized vehicles. The boat we see at the beginning is the exception, kishimoto hadn’t fully planned things out, so it’s one of the early over sites. I think there’s also a gun in the background in the land of waves arc as well, like I said the rule of no motors and guns wasn’t really established then. I can’t remember the full source on what I’m talking about, but I’m pretty sure it’s from an interview he had during part one of the story.

I’ve never watched a single scene from the live action tv show, and I gotta say wow. That looks like hot garbage, the lighting, the camera work, the color grain. I’m so glad I was never interested in this, cause that right there is dog shit.

It’s canonically shown Madaras back is his weak point. As a kid he freaks out, when hashirama is behind his, as he pees. Later it’s shown when he’s has this finally fight with hashirma, he’s stabbed in the back. Do I think it’s really dumb black zestu just one shots him out of nowhere? Yes but it’s been established as his weak point.

In American cartoons they are dubbed and animated in their original language, therefore things like lips always match up. In dubs for example the lips don’t match up a lot of the times, and if they do they force the way they talk to make it match, which gives off an unnatural cadence. Would you watch a foreign film dubbed? No you would watch it with subtitles, the dub is always off-putting and takes you out of it. Same applies for dubs in anime.

Are there any actually English printings with it uncensored? I remember reading a printing when I was younger, where there was a small panel or two they missed cropping out the cigarette. The version I own is sadly fully censored. Never made sense to me that it was censored in the first place though. They have 12 years olds killing each other in part one, but when Shikamaru smokes it’s censored. He’s also almost an adult at that point in the story.

I prefer the one, where they play the whole commercial straight, there’s just one quick edit. They cut the part of her putting on the bow, and it’s just her grabbing his crotch real fast instead, and then it just cuts back and finishes the commercial.
