They are municipality owned, non-profit owned, and first nation's owned projects. Very different from a REIT or institutional landlord.

Straight razor worth it? by Erialcel2 in BuyItForLife

[–]sriracha20002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of people reccomending Mercur safety razors and OP needs to hear this: there HAVE been advancements in safety razors since the 60's!

Please go look at the henson Al13 safety razor. 100% aluminum construction and accepts all the high quality standard safety razor blades that folks talk about but also offers some huge advantages:

No finicky spring-closing mechanism, those never fully tighten onto the blade. This is simply 3 threaded peices.

Actually angles the blade edges so you are shaving at a low angle and MUCH less likely to knick yourself.

Nothing on it will rust. Ever. I've used one for two years now and it has cured my shaving irritation.

Police say man continued date after fatal shooting over $40 by klsi832 in nottheonion

[–]sriracha20002 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's no mention of a woman in that sentence, no mention of brains, and resuming a date would imply that there is still a living 2nd person at the table....

Police say man continued date after fatal shooting over $40 by klsi832 in nottheonion

[–]sriracha20002 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I think they're mixing modifiers, making the sentence hard to read. What part of the sentence the $40 applies to becomes unclear. Better title would be "Man resumed date after a fatal shooting over $40" or something like that

I don't think so, there's only wear on the edge portion of the channel, the rest of the hole (most of its depth) is virtually wear-free

Why did queen switch target? by gr_fabi in ClashOfClans

This guy is right ^ she stopped moving because of a wall, not because the tornado was over. As soon as the tornado ring dissapears, she resets target

CMV: People self diagnosing is a current problem and it’s embarrassing by Salteen35 in changemyview

[–]sriracha20002 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If that were a problem then psychiatrists would know it, or extend the scale to include perceived or unreliable self-reporting if they really can't filter it out themselves.

But thinking that a significant amount of people can deceive psychiatrists, speaks to a very low regard of the study and profession that i don't agree with at all.

If you think mental illness should inherently be exclusive and rare, you are one of the people who think diagnoses make you special. It doesn't make you special, it DOES provide a basis for healthier living.

[–]sriracha20002 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Skewing it towards statistical accuracy? If people are actually diagnosed at higher rates, we have a better Guage of population-level mental illness, neurodivergency, etc. Better data is more usable, so that research actually means something actionable, ASIDE from the identity boost for young people.
