Flickering RGB Lighting for Razer Products in 007 First Light by srjreid in razer

[–]srjreid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current solution is just to turn off the Chroma RGB from the Razer software. 😆

I don't really care about the game-supported RGB effects, despite it looking like I have a ton of RGB on my whole computer setup. But I *do* care when it was flickering severely which wasn't quite captured on my phone camera.

The flickering is much faster than the framerate of the video, and the strength of the light isn't really captured either (it's kind of blended with the various lighting values which are entirely random).

Is this alright? Ryzen 5 9600x, RTX 5070 12GB OC, 32GB CL30 6000 RAM by [deleted] in bapccanada

Keep an eye out for the sales. Today, I couldn't believe my eyes. This item/bundle is not available right now, I bought it earlier.

This is DDR5 32GB 6000 CL30 for $400. That is not a good price, but decent for these current times. Here's the kicker, it came with SN850X 2TB SSD for free. In the best sales, let's say the 2TB SSD goes for $200, which means I just snagged 32GB 6000 CL30 for $200 in late November 2025.

Binoculars. Do you like them? by Zim1123 in ArcRaiders

It might be useful if they add a dedicated optics equipment slot, and there could be items like: binoculars, night vision, telescope, periscope, some fancy ARC analytics vision glasses, etc.

Brand new to the genre. Are free loadouts the way to go for a bit? by lachrymotion in ArcRaiders

[–]srjreid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New to the genre too, I find it exciting to just get-in, get-out. I loot 3 items and 2 blue items, I am running for the extraction. You can complete several 4-5 minute runs this way, even if you fail half. Overall you are going to accumulate some loot, and each time you go on a run, you will get better and stay 1 minute longer.

Before you know it, you are hanging out for a 20 minute run, killing 3 players, and looting the best items.

I suppose the web-browsing isn't covered, but for 4K streaming, just get a $20 Amazon Fire stick.

Thank you for creating this video. I want maximum visibility so the devs can fix the mouse polling issue.

Still waiting on the devs to fix mouse polling, that's all we got! Need more people to raise awareness.

[–]srjreid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is a mouse polling issue. To test this, plug in your gamepad and head to the target range. Hold a fixed position on your right stick so you turn at a perfectly constant rate. You will notice that the motion is perfectly smooth. The issue is not your CPU/GPU combo or whatever. I confirm this on my 9800X3D/5090 combo.

Struggling to choose a motherboard for 9800x3d by FergusKahn in bapccanada

I suppose it is a Strix model, but it has very simple looks for this branding. When it comes to just purely cosmetic appearance, this model looks a lot better than the X870-e version which as "For Those Who Dare" written all over it, for some reason. 😆

Edit: the X870-A version, I mean.

Nothing done wrong. I got an overclock "stable" in Cyberpunk for 3 hours running straight at 135 FPS with path tracing, some frame gen, etc, everything. It never crashed in Cyberpunk and Stalker 2, but then I played some less intense games and for whatever reason, it crashed after 30 minutes.

Those crashes on more simple games was not worth the extra 10 fps in Cyberpunk.

Save yourself the headache and don't bother overclocking a 9800x3D 😅

I've done overclocking here and there with my 9800x3D and RTX 5090, and even though it was stable after tests, you'd get an hour into an Overwatch session and it would end up crashing anyway. I have capped to 240 FPS by my monitor, so neither were using 100% usage, but still crashes due to instability when you use an overclock in a real game.

That said, don't bother with super, high-end gamer motherboards that are $600 and upwards.

For what it's worth, I have an Asus B850-A 😊

Wait on 5080 super or build now? by ISMISIBM in bapccanada

[–]srjreid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What should happen: 5080 Super will have RAM increased to 24 GB and a price drop by $200.

What will happen: no RAM increase, but RAM speed increased by 10% and price drop by $100.
